I had a snow flurry at about 8 a.m. which lasted about 15 minutes and produced a light dusting Although, it has melted now, temp has rose to 4.1C from an overnight low of -2.1C.

Good Afternoon:

Well here in Luton its extremely cold, i know ive been fixing windows out in it. I Can confirm that we have had three quick snow showers here this morning but no laying snow as yet. we also have a blustery wind blowing those showers in across the region. ill keep you all posted on events and when it gets interesting later as i expect i will post piccys for you all to go ooooooooooo over

woke up this morning with another inch or so of lying snow,

still got snowcover here, main roads are clear, but sideroads are

tricky.

Woke up to about an inch of snow this am, had 3 or 4 heavy snow showers, but sunny interludes means a rapid thawing. Hailstones at the moment, plenty of shower activity out to sea, requiring just a subtle wind change to bring them all inland .

Hi,

Lots of Wintry showers in Cleethorpes since last post this morning, however, they consist mainly of Hail/Pellets, Sleet.........no settling snow i'm afraid. Last nights sprinkling now melted. Wind increasing, and a few CB's out over the Humber/North Sea. Another Hail shower starting as i type......

a very very dark cloud coming with the sun out just had another sleety shower, number 5 for today! all others have been snow however.

cloud is looking very ominous and large rainfall on radar looks like it is coming now.

wish me luck i'll report back if anything happens.

Hail shower now reverted to Wet snow/sleet shower.....flakes whizzing horizontal past window in Strong wind....quite large flakes mixed in now...looking dark over Humber / N Sea area.

Rain started and now turning to Sleet...

Looking positive.. humidity now 85% annd Pressures 997mb..

Fingers crossed.. C'mon snow...!!!

Now 3.3oC and sleeting again.. B)

4.03pm...More snow since.. not sticking.. temps now down to 1.4oC & wind seeming to be more NNE..

Just to report i have had 5 light snow flurries, not even enough to set, it virtually evaporated as soon as it touched the ground due to the wind, and i have had another shower 20 mins ago, that was a sleet shower..

sleety snow few mins ago, got heavies then vaneeeeeesheds!! odd wintries throughout day but nothings majo or settlings! bah!!! :blink: lot of wind is picked ups, very bittely colds, 4.2c and the me is heard rumbly in the distants!!!

gritters is beens and power is also went offs for short whiles!

Had a light snow shower at Burnham Golf club just before 12, but now at home and presently having a brief rain/sleet shower - hardly anything of note though!

Just returned from a snow chase around East Kent.

Snow shower number one, was had in Dover at 1310. Lovely flakes with some sleet also.

Snow shower number two was in Deal at 1330. Started off as sleet but readily turned to Snow which was continuous for 15-20 minutes. Some very big flakes indeed, with a spell of fairly heavy snow.

Plus whilest driving around we drove in many sleet/snow mix showers.

Heavy snow shower here in Dorking - just started to settle!

Scratch that, it decided not to settle and is stopping now! Oh well, better than a flurry!
