Oh wow, would have been wise to put GRIT on the roads, especially the hills.....just listening to my local radio station and motorists trying to get up the hills are ending up sliding back down again and hitting each other!!! People are also abandoning their vehicles because they can't get up through the hills AND many of the roads coming INTO Aylesbury are closed or blocked!!!! What chaos LOL!!! :D:):)

Same here, nothing else on the way :D Ah well thats our lot, 3 inches is better than nothing! I'm just worried about a thaw now, I HATE to see that lovely snow melting it's the worst part of it. No doubt if it doesen't snow for the rest of today then it will slowly thaw as the ground temps probably won't stay below 0.5c.

A couple of cm's more than me and to think we was fretting about if it would snow long enough!

Tbh yes as all the action went East AGAIN when we were predicted the Worst. That stuff in Wales may get here but the usual will probably happen where it dies out or just misses us again.

Never mind, we had a good covering again. :D

Slightly more worrying here, temp -0.1, dew -0.6, I've got to hope that ground temp doesn't rise above 0.5c all day lol.

Yes I was just about to comment on that, It is slightly worrying.

-0.2c here in Bromsgrove, been rising quite quickly over the last hour or so.

I am because we were supposed to be getting precip coming up and around the Midlands for most the day, to see that it's probably going to stay dry for about 6 hours + and the snow will slowly thaw is not good.

Got about 3" here in north warwickshire... but I had no problem with getting to work! Gritters were out, a lot of the snow was cleared from around me - saw some tractors out plowing the snow!

Also could of been the fact that a lot of drivers stayed home so the roads were relatively clear for 8.30 in the morning lol!

Luckily Warwickshire has the luxury of snow ploughs to my knowledge ??? :D

I think Worcs council has just run dry on grit lol, even the main road hasn't been gritted ...terrible

is it meant to move back down south?

what time will this be cause i have another snow day today i have never had 3 snowdays in one week :)

I think the precip down South is moving North but theres not much below Leicester, just a small band of precip near Oxford, thats going to take hours to get here IF it does get here :D I bet this snow will start to melt soon, GRRRRRRRRRR.

Some people are never happy! We've had the best week of snow for as long as I can remember and people are complaining that there's no more coming!!

The 06z has snow showers on and off today here with high of 0c.

Looks like tonights heavy snow is a lot further west on this run but not close enough still yet.

Hopefully it will shift another 50 or so miles west and give here a dumping instead of the East Midlands a third time.

I am happy but I hate the slow thaw of the snow during the day :D

I think Mondays snow was slightly deeper here, got 5 inches, only 3 inches at the moment.

Started snowing again in Oxford, from this band of slow moving ppn moving into south midlands. Typically it looks to have lost intensity in the last 20 mins, but at least its falling as snow.
