Anyone think the BBC have overcooked temps for saturday? My take on the latest model run charts is that my area will have a max of 2c on saturday with the risk of sleet/snow, yet the bbc are predicting this...

Heavy snow here finally.

Falling very slow like slow motion.

The ground is so cold every flake is settling, it's very dry snow

Robert :) Well interestingly the last few runs the models have hinted at another band of precipitation heading over the UK like the one forecast for Thursday is... and while it does head across the UK on saturday it looks like we could have temps of 1-2c in some areas and there is a possibility of another chance of snow. But we wont know for sure till about Thursday.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the feedback

Looking forward to Thursday and the 10th :)

*Passes cookies and hot chocolate around* Still lot's left!

No problem Roberto :) Our areas look promising for those two days, but I dont want to jinx it!

Yaaayyy I love hot chocolate and cookies :) Good job you stocked up, theres loads on here tonight! :)

Tom F I think it looks promising for our areas as I just said to Rob :) Stay tuned to the forecasts on t.v mate, they will give you the best indication for what to expect on Thursday. Then maybe Saturday but at the moment Saturday looks a bit of a 50-50 situation whereas Thursday is getting closer and still looking decent for us to see snow :)

Would be a shame, PP, after coming all the way from Mercury, if this snow fell a mile short of your place.

Just joking, by the way, don't want another ten tirades from the usual doubters.

Outside chance of snow showers penetrating further inland and in a S/SE direction. Only outside chance though!

EDIT: No it doesn't

If people in the NE want to here where it's snowing, Night Owls on Metro Radio is good tonight.

Alan keeps reading out e-mails saying where it's snowing and how deep.

Yeh its not surprising with the snow showers likely to be up there through the night! I will be expecting the BBC and Met Office to be showing a severe weather warning this time tomorrow night regarding many parts of England for snow :) That probably just jinxed it now though, if it goes belly up at the last minute then its me you can blame :)

Persian, I expect you to get pasted soon mate, those showers are heading right for you, keep us updated wont ya  I predict in less than 10 mins you will be telling us you have snow.
