  1. Optimistically and how things stand at the moment.. 15.1c.
  2. Cool, cloudy and breezy with some light rain at times - overall a miserable day with a max of only 14.4c it's now 13.6c. Bring back last weekend's weather!
  3. Back to the usual dull sort of weather- overcast with temp just shy of 16c. What a nice 'holiday' from average weather we've had this last few days - can't wait for the next decent spell of hot & sunny weather!
  4. Feeling very warm with mostly clear skies 23.5c so far with a nice breeze on.
  5. 24.3c here now and still a cloudless wonderful day - as perfect as it gets! Time to head to the pub before having an evening bbq
  6. Stunning day - absolutely perfect! Completely cloudless skies, light winds and temps rising nicely, so far 22.5c. Best day of the warm spell so far by far!
  7. Admittedly where my sensor is located (in a small courtyard surrounded in brick walls) is probably warmer than the surrounding area or if it were a proper garden but I'm definitely sure it didn't drop to 8c last night like you recorded. No way could we have the skylight above our bed open at 8c - not unless I wanted a serious ear full from her!
  8. Clear and sunny after a low of 15.1c. It's now 17.6c and so far no sign of the cloud which will no doubt appear by lunch time (and then go by early evening).
  9. But when I woke up briefly to the birds this morning at 4am it was almost completely light which is some 4 hours before I get up whereas it's at least 11pm before I'm thinking about bed so from a completely and utterly selfish point of view I'd prefer that hour planted onto the evening instead of at 4-5am. Tbh it's not May-July that's the problem - its further out in August when it starts getting dark mid evening (8ish) when BST+1 would be more useful.
  10. Sun has come back out raising temps to 25.6c. I think my sensor is catching the sun a bit so realistically we're around 24c. Dew point at 18c so very sweaty! 30 mins till cold beer time... mmmm
  11. Overcast with the odd glimmer of sunshine. Very very stuffy at 22.8c dew point 16.1c. Can just taste that cold beer at 5pm...
  12. Clouded up a bit now but still some sunny spells. Now 22.8c after an earlier peak of 23.1c. Hopefully will keep going up!
  13. Christ that'd be the most horrible nightmare ever! Being one of my least favourite months (along with November) the idea of January all year round is about as appealing as Monday morning all week long! Wish my birthday was in June as there's so much more to do than in October when mine is. My missus has hers on Jan 16th - the absolute worst since no one has any money, no one is bothered about doing anything (all partied out) and the weather is vile. Have to say I do find it hard to get in the head of you summer haters. Understand everyone is different and I can definitely understand people don't like heat but to just hate light & pleasant conditions is something I can't understand. So please do enlighten me on what is terrible about a sunny day at 20c...
  14. Definitely the best weather morning this year so far! Now 18.8c under clear skies and light winds. Hopefully staying clear all day - looking forward to that sunshine pint at 5pm already!
  15. A low of 15.6c with the house around 19c low downstairs and 22c upstairs so no probs sleeping (bar the birds from 4am!). Now clear blue skies 17.4c. A hot one coming up if it doesn't turn to grey later.
  16. Still holding at 18.9c here so don't expect it to drop much below 18c tonight.
  17. Lovely evening here - now stable at 19.1c with a nice blanket of humidity. Still half light under hazy skies making for a lovely evening to sit outside and enjoy a nice cold beer. Bedroom at 23c with nice flower perfumed light airflow coming through. My house works very well in hot weather as living room stays around 21c even when hot outside and skylights in bedroom keep enough air moving for it never to be stuffy. After struggling to keep it warm all winter it's a wonderful relief this weather is!
  18. 21.2c max today under mostly cloudy skies. A little sunshine at times but not a lot since morning. Feeling very humid so don't expect much of a drop tonight. By day this cloudy weather isn't very exciting but it does at least keep nights warm which I love!
  19. Stunning morning - very warm and sunny. Min of 16.4c now 17.3c - gonna be a warm one! First proper t-shirt morning too - long may it continue!
  20. A cloudy day with temps maxing at 18.9c. Humidity is up so it feels much warmer and it's still warm enough now to sit outside comfortably at 17.9c. The first truly summer feeling day even without much sun - enjoyed every minute I was out in it! Lovely to be sat here next to an open window with a gentle warm breeze coming in - first time in oh so long!
  21. One thing I would change is working patterns. It seems crazy to waste the first 3-4 hours of daylight then for it to be turning nippy as the sun drops only an hour or so after you leave work. I'd prefer 7am-3pm during April-August to make the most of the light hours. But it would need the 'default' for everyone to change. No point me finishing at 3 only for my colleagues (with whom beer drinking may occur post work) to finish at 5! Failing that lets go onto BST+1...
  22. Wonderful looking charts this week with Thurs-Sat looking first class. Lots of oranges on those charts after what feels like forever of greens & blues. 10c isotherm is around us for the period so look forward to consistent warmth day & night. For first time in ages I'm happy to be the weather information supplier at work!
  23. A mostly sunny day with a bit of a breeze on. 17.5c our max which is very pleasant in the ample sunshine. A nice end to a nice weekend!
  24. After work its usually 2-3 pints of weak (<4%) ale so I'm ok for cycling on the whole! Still - daylight just makes it feel much safer and I'm less likely to have my bike stolen like I did before - grrrr.
