    The only problem is, looking at that spread at t-168 only 4 or 5 members show some form of undercutting for the uk.

    Well well well, what have we here ? Interested to see how this one pans out. CFS has been showing this now for a long time and the 500mb anomoly charts are showing spring could be a long time coming.

    Just been down to the end of the garden with torch in hand and seen the first few frogs returning to the pond. Lets hope they don't get caught out by this coming milder spell.

    I think so to crewe but this would fly in the face of what the Meto are currently thinking. They go for the high to drop SE in time, we will see.

    Could it be that the JMA is picking up on a signal that the other models have not latched into yet ? Looks very interesting at t-192 and out of kilt with the other models.

    No not yet (on this run anyway) JMA Long range ensembles that have been spot on the money so far this winter would seem to suggest retrogression at some point.

    The 500mb Anomoly charts would seem to back up ECM & UKMO evolutions. Large anomoly to the north of the UK.

    Fantastic runs tonight from ECM & UKMO, I'm sure John Pike will be climbing up the walls. De Bilt ensembles are amazing for days 8,9 & 10, have you ever seen such a cluster that far out. 500mb anomoly charts also looking sexy with a big anomoly north of the UK. Don't put the sledges away yet folks.

    Hi Gaz Would obviously hinge on the exact position of the high and from what direction it was pulling the wind in from. I would say if it was to sit over us as predicted it would give cold nights -5 or possibly lower and daytime temps of around +7.

    What ECM run was you looking at ? 12z ECM looks fantastic to me in FI if you like cold and blocked.
