    No, but it is cold already - might have been boring but it's been really cold. There's a leaking stopcock on my way to work which has caused an ice rink on the pavement because it's been so cold.. I'm talking about 5 metres worth of pavement iced up.

    This is so difficult to accept but an important message for everyone to take on board and not to get too carried away until a pattern is in the reliable timeframe. I will still enjoy looking at cold synoptics evolve and learning how they manifest as that is part of the fun for me.

    Same, but I wasn't surprised- both the GFS and the ECM has played with the idea of a quick route to cold - the ECM had that wedge of heights first which would have led to the same evolution as the GEM. That looks full of potential to me.

    Sorry for the late response, but It's a positive sign whenever heights start to build over to our NE GFS might be going for it as well:

    It's showing heights building north and splitting the two lobes, then it would probably end up like the GFS 12z yesterday.

    Too much cloud; you're probably hovering around 1c but your dewpoint is around -2. It's partly cloudy here and we're hovering just above freezing.
