you don't get sarcasm William no one actually thinks that in fact in my opinion the risk isn't great I'm more confident on the showers inland than elevated stuff at the moment.

Storm risk isn't great across the south this weekend however it's looking interesting further north and west.

Tomorrow looks promising for some cloud photography, which is good enough for me even if there isn't any thunder, should still be some decent showers around, just hope there isn't to much cloud around, as the last few days have been lovely.

Evening All. Today was a interesting day convective wise, headed out towards Newbury to begin with today as a starting point to see if anything got going then some friends from the isle of wight came to the mainland for a chase and we headed for Salisbury where a very brief funnel cloud developed within the rain core but by the time I tried to find a place to pull over it wasn't visible as the rain was obstructing the funnel cloud, soon after that once I had got towards Salisbury hail began to fall which to me suggested that it was close to producing thunder, after that the shower moderated in strength and nothing more happened, as I was heading home some more showers developed over the West Country and along the M4 corridor, the showers over Newbury and the one over Farnborough produced some thunder and lightning but nothing from the showers where I was near as I was heading home but apart from that it was a Interesting days weather and has certainly been a great week convective wise. Nice Developments to my south, although its moving more West to East today, unlike yesterday when it was SW to NE trajectory.

Fairly scattered cumulus clouds around now. First picture was from earlier, second picture is the current conditions.

Some showers developing over Devon now, charging camera and Ipad in case I head out soon for the evening if the risk still exists this far south.

Went out on a short storm chase to Chippenham when there was quite a bit of thunder and lightning coming out of that cell with hail thrown in as well back home now hopefully some more showers will develop further south this afternoon.

Hello All. Nice clearance in cloud to my south now not a bad evening really with light winds. 11C with 15mm of rain recorded today Just doing some testing of my new camera that I haven't used much think its a Nikon D3200 DSLR.

I agree with this but at least its some interest first of the spring should be fun to track either way. Yes and the confidence was always much lower for Devon and Cornwall perhaps thinking the band currently there might had produced something.

First elevated showers just developing now across north france and near channel islands pushing North Northeast, so I would say most of the thundery showers will stay east of that area of rain over Cornwall and Devon. Hampshire East looks a good bet right now.
