  4. It looks like about 1 to 2 hrs away. There is even snow at present in central london. I think that the snow line may just be a little further south It's going to be fun for my drive from kettering to nottingham in the morning Peter

  10. This is what we dream of a winter beach scene. These were taken at St. Joseph, Michigan just around the corner from Chicago on Lake Michigan. Just after I took these pics we were hit by lake effect snow. It is very very dangerous. I was taking the pics in the sunny conditions and within what seem to be seconds it was a white out, had a job to find my way back to my car ever though it was only 50yds away. And it went away nearly as quick Most of these pics were of the beach. Notice the snow piled up on what appears to be the frozen lake and notice the harbour is little frozen Peter Hull Brings back memories of when I was a kid (in Northamptonshire of course). i am talking of the winters of 79, 81/82 and 87 Any way back tomorrow so any more pics will have to wait until Wednesday evening when I eventually get home Peter
  11. Some more general pics of place near St. Joseph, Michigan today (Monday). Sunny most of day except some "Lake Effect Snow'. More snow due overnight
  12. And if you want to see what happening across the other side of the pond, which could be coming our way I am in Detroit for the car show and the weather is bit extreme to say the least. Back Wednesday morning The is another lot of snow due he before i come back. Have posted some pics http://www.netweather.tv/forum/index.php?s...p;#entry1429993 Will post some more between now and Tuesday night when I leave Peter Hull
  13. It doesn't cause much chaos except in the heaviest of snow fall. All the builders that cannot work due to the weather attach ploughs to the front of their pick-ups / 4x4 and then get paid to clear the likes of supermarket car parks and so-on They do drive a bit mad in the snow, suppose they are use to it
  14. I am here in Detroit back Wednesday morning trying to get up to stream with unfolding weather events back home There are some good snow pics of here in Detroit: http://www.netweather.tv/forum/index.php?s...p;#entry1429916
