To be honest, if there's gonna be no snow, id rather it was sunny and warm really. Fed up of cold nothing weather!
-
I suggest we all move to the east midlands, im sick of the snow starved west midlands, especially telford where it never snows! :/
-
sounds intriguing triple, was it the kiddy to bridgnorth stretch, or going up telford way? certainly would've placed most of the action up in shropshire. still raining fairly heavily here, a few hours of rain ahead perhaps. enjoying this weather before i head off to budapest on sunday evening, where itll be just shy of 40 degrees next week. If you think i'm bragging, im not. I'm camping and dreading the thought of such intense heat!
-
still raining fairly heavily here, not convinced its completely done by any means!
-
Oh you would have seen them - you must have been looking in the wrong direction lol.
half an eye on 8 out of 10 cats, our views arent the best tbf from the windas, a lot of trees in the garden!
-
A couple of fantastic forks a few minutes ago, just to the NE of me -- sort of Clent way. As good as I've seen all summer, those.
cant believe ive missed it, sucks
-
nothing imminent here, maybe its bypassed me?! im south of the town centre
-
YAY CELL TO MY SW NOW ACTIVE!
WE CAN JOIN THE PARTY! Thank god because the cloud to my SW is just stupidly dark!
and just moderate rain, another letdown methinks, can see some lightning but it isnt that close
-
one word, MEH, looked so promising on the radar
-
yep caught the tail end of that storm in wollaston, incredible, looking over yonder and it looks incredible shropshire way
-
Tiffins is better
home of the milli jilli! lol, anyway back on track, think we're in for a fair bit of light persistant rain tomorrow, followed by a drier slot thursday, for now the thundery activity seems to be restricted :/
-
Looks like a line from Stourbridge, Dudley up to Lichfield seems to be missing out right now. Another line from Stratford to Leamington. Inbetween those places is where all the action is. However, the forecast was for showers to set themselves up in lines with some places missing out. Just unfortunate it's us so far.
...but, it's not all bad. It means we get great views of all the cbs around us, really feel closed in by them...almost intimidating! And the odd rumble coming from various places makes it a bit more interesting. Still time to go as well...
did it? we've had a really sodden afternoon by all means, huge puddles round here!
-
been a hit and miss sort of afternoon, but nothing exceptional showerwise. Best one was around 2pm, with a few minutes of 'heavy' rain, with a couple of moderate showers since then, but no thunder, just bog standard rain.
-
Morning all, optimistic we may get a few potent showers driven in today, looks like they are already getting going in south wales so anyone could catch them as they increase during the day. Fingers crossed!
-
The whole thing is rotating, which gives a whole new perspective on things. The southern side of the rain is moving west to east, while the northern edge and central parts are toppling over from east to west. Very interesting ATM, and may change rainfall intensity and location overnight.
was also thinking that, will definitely stick around with you guys for sometime tonight i would've thought, whereas it should leave the west midlands in the next couple of hours anyway. any ideas on totals up manchester way?
-
,Looks like no round two re fireworks...as for rain? Still pelting down real shocker and that's no exaggeration either! Months worth plus in one single solitary day, for some.
nope, no electrical activity, and i reckon you guys have had a bit more rain being that bit further north and west, where the intensity has held up for some time tonight, whereas it has been more moderate further south
-
18mm of rain here tonight, given the ground a good replenishment, got 32mm from tuesdays thunderstorm mind!
-
moderate rain here and 13mm so far, the met office have us down for heavy rain all through the night, can't see it to be honest? chance of some storms tomorrow mind
-
I swear I can hear distant rumbles
a summer version of a christmas carol? except the weather gods of thunder, snow and anything remotely exciting are playing tricks on ya
-
Oh come on, have you already forgotten Tuesday?
Drove through some torrential rain near Shrewsbury around 4.30pm....
Anyway looks like lots of rain tonight and thundery potential tomorrow. Charts beyond look very exciting.
ok fair point about tuesday, still was a complete rarity in the grand scheme of things!
-
yep moving through pretty quickly it would seem, just steady moderate rain here west of birmingham, 8mm so far.
-
You would think we would be used to it now, but no always a disapointment
haha yep, its always to the east or west of us, i think brum to the welsh border always seem to effectively be a no exciting weather zone.
-
Take cover NW England! The drizzle's coming!
tell me about it, west of brum its just light to moderate rain, feels like a standard november day tbh!
-
cant see anything west of brum tbh, so plain old moderate rain. Yay.
