  1. UK Outlook for Monday 24 Mar 2008 to Wednesday 2 Apr 2008:

A brisk northerly wind will bring cold conditions at the start of next week with a mixture of sunny spells and some showers and overnight frosts. Those showers will be wintry to low-levels and falling as snow over high ground, and will be most frequent across northern and eastern parts of Britain where gales are also likely. The driest, sunniest conditions are expected in the south and west. Blizzard conditions are likely over the Scottish mountains. Conditions are expected to be mostly showery through the rest of the forecast period with wintry showers over eastern parts. Some more general rain is also likely at times, especially across England and Wales with the driest, sunniest conditions across Scotland. Daytime temperatures will rise to just below normal with further overnight frosts expected.

  2. UK Outlook for Sunday 16 Mar 2008 to Tuesday 25 Mar 2008:

The start of the outlook period is likely to be rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain and temperatures around normal. The rain should gradually clear eastwards during Sunday and Monday with colder conditions following and a mixture of sunny spells and showers, with wintry showers on hills. A rather cold or cold northerly airstream is then expected to dominate this forecast period, bringing sunny spells and showers with overnight frosts. The showers will be mainly over northern and eastern parts, and are likely to be wintry, with snow on hills. Elsewhere should see plenty of sunny spells, but isolated showers are just possible, mainly over western coasts. Rather windy at first, with winds then easing from the west.

  3. UK Outlook for Sunday 3 Feb 2008 to Tuesday 12 Feb 2008:

Milder weather will return to many parts on Sunday with heavy rain at times across northern and western hills, This rain will be preceded by sleet or snow over high ground of the north and west with moderate accumulations possible for a time. Generally drier in the southeast. Continuing unsettled through Monday to Thursday with rain or showers at times and strong to gale force winds, possibly wintry showers over northern hills. Later in the week and following weekend and start of the next week conditions look like becoming a little more settled in the south with a ridge building from the south once more with largely dry conditions, and perhaps some rain at times in the north with westerly then southwesterly winds.
