Just checked radar and guess what I see, a streamer has developed heading West towards Bangor, Newtownards, Donaghadee, Belfast etc. Snow, graupel or thundersnow and leave some on the floor this time.- 803 replies

Snow all gone and drizzle here. At least it was a good 10 hours of snowfall. Still a good few days of cold to come so something else might crop up.- 803 replies

Turned out same here Ronan, no ground covering, just a cm or 2 on cars and roofs. Still a few days to go yet however. One thing about cold spells, they can surprise you at any given time. I was thinking April/May for the meet. Not mid Summer, not mid Winter and nobody has much planned around that time. Will need to see who is free in them months. Glenshane is a other end of country for those in Southern Ireland, was thinking of meeting halfway like Enniskillen. Unless people would prefer a 2 stage meet, one in Belfast and one in Dublin? Place ideas, especially from those with further to travel is a must.- 803 replies

Before I go here for my night of snooker and money games, if anyone has any ideas for locations, or other for the meetup, send me a pm. Would like everyone involved and we'll make a day/night of it.- 803 replies

Some good music to soothe the mind. Ooops, forgot to mention. Was down in the casino for a couple of hours and the electric was flicking off and on. By the way, I forgot to say earlier, I'm going to try and make an All Ireland weather meetup for us all, for some good craic and discussion, how many of you would be interested?- 803 replies

Can confirm snowjons thoughts on snow starting to settle in Bangor, I'm right at the coast and rooftops, cars, bins etc starting to get covered. Heavy blowing snow continuing and doesn't look like an end to it yet. PS, The whiskey is a gogo.- 803 replies

Snowing in Bangor.....................Wales. Met forecast for today, tonight and tomorrow: Today: Wet and windy with prolonged and heavy spells of rain, this will turn to sleet then snow during the day, including lower coastal areas. Worst affected will be around Belfast, the Mourne Mountains and Antrim hills but difficult conditions elsewhere. Maximum Temperature 3 °C. Tonight: Snow will continue overnight with further heavy falls and coupled with strong winds there will be drifting and perhaps even blizzard conditions. Travel will be treacherous. Minimum Temperature -2 °C. Saturday: Snow showers will continue, especially across the east of the Province where it will remain windy. Western parts, such as Enniskillen may see some drier and brighter spells. Maximum Temperature 3 °C. Looks good to me. If it's snowing in Dundrum (so long as it's not the hillier areas) that's a good sign for Bangor too. I'm literally on the coast here.- 803 replies

I fell asleep after tea and we're at 4 pages already. Somethings afoot (maybe the snow?). I'm tempted to move into the spare room tonight and lamppost watch as I was blessed with one directly outside the window, but not tonight. Tomorrow evening would be better.- 803 replies

Well here's a video (no sound) of me and my brother having a sledge race in 2010. This was at Carnalea golf club. I'm the bearded one (not holding the cam). http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150337564790403&set=t.746960402&type=3&theater don't know if you need to be my facebook friend to see that one.- 803 replies

PS....Whiskey/Whisky, its does the same. Anxious about the next few days, hoping being so close to the East coast doesn't spoil my chances. Hope not.- 803 replies

Thread now locked, here's the new one: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/75617-ireland-regional-discussions-170113-and-beyond/ -
New thread for the Ireland regionals. Ramp away, discuss the ever changing Ireland weather and snow prospects. Be good, no arguing or I'll be chopping heads. Getting colder as the day is coming to an end here, fingers were getting numb under the gloves.
