I still remain doubtful just like I was with the last two cold spells, or flinting glances more like..... Coldest weather in two years my ass *Met Office*.
You and me both, it's actually failed twice now...
However rather than just a moan post, let's hope the model's factor in how strong this northerly might be, any mild sectors etc
Matt Taylor talking about the potential for a small low pressure that could form to the east of the English channel pepping up the sleet and snow showers towards the southeast on Wednesday.
Exactly what I expected really, happens 80% of the time with easterlies... This cold spell/snap isn't looking that great tbh at least from a general viewpoint
Doubtful... I expect people are seeing blue too much.
This really depends on what this low pressure system does, we have been here many many times before and the direction hardly ever favours the uk except in rare occasions
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
All **** night with neighbours who were too lazy to shut a gate properly. I was tempted to do it by myself but that meant walking up an alley, getting soaked for someone else's lazyness
Which is what I said would happen, it happens time and time again! Why I don't know
This is looking like another mid/northern affair, I feel for you southerners
Something most people haven't realised is the models tend to overdo the uppers, on many occasions deep 850's such as these have been pushed further away from our shores back across europe nearer the time. Sometimes we've expected -10 and got -4 instead
I can't remember that many convective snow showers from uppers of -2, many great falls have been between -8 and -10. Unless you want a sleety north sea mix
