    Well it's finally stopped raining, with the total exactly 23mm for the day.

    Nothing too heavy so far with 12.2mm of rain since midnight, and 17mm since yesterday evening. The radar shows it intensifying around this area though, with several more hours of rain to come yet.

    Only 5.6mm of rain overnight and the radar shows mostly light stuff heading this way soon. Nowhere near as bad as what was being forecast for this area.

    Quite a bit of heavy rain here in the last few days, and more this evening. The main event hasn't even started yet, so lot's of flooding around here for sure in the next few days.

    The rainfall for the year so far here is 844.5mm, with 37.3mm so far for December.

    Heavy rain for the last few hours and upto 7mm so far which is a surprise.It also appears to be stalling right over my location.

    It really is incredible how the PPN is avoiding this area.

    A dull and very cold day, with the temp around 1c. I'm not expecting much rain here later, as it will struggle to get past the pennines.

    It really is incredible that we are seeing charts like this so early in the winter. As always though i'm trying not to get excited until it's nailed on, and at the moment we are not quite there yet, but getting nearer.
