Ahh how typical I get back to cornwall next week when things look like becoming quiet. Thunder, lightning, downpours, hail, flooding, storm surge and now snow!
Hi Ian, apologies if this has already been mentioned, but is there still a risk of some wintriness on Saturday? A few other models such as the NASA GEOS5 for example seems to suggest something.
Cornwall really looks like taking a battering. I know parts around Commercial Road in Penryn and possibly areas around the Princes of Wales Pier in Falmouth may particular see flooding issues.

That goes against all the important safety advice. Too many lives have been lost this way recently.
Hopefully if this mild weather continues, late February might bring out the shorts again in Cornwall. Was warm enough on a day or two last year! Looking forward to those first warm days of Spring now. Will feel amazing!

Snow shower on the 24th here and a few flakes at the end of the 25th here have rescued this month. The 24th was lucky because we went through some very intense precipitation, dragging the cold air down to the surface enabling precipitation to fall as snow. Would have been rain otherwise!
Yep, looks like the risk of cold continues to be out in the distance but the risk of storms is increasing again. Tonight will ve very windy with Gales for a time. Some very tight isobars.
Today so far is beautiful with lots of sun. Hard frost last night leaving the ground very white like we had a dusting of snow! Icy patches still around in the shade now too.
Calmed down a fair bit since the squall passed. Was quite a few bursts of intense rain there. Radar shows this. Wind was really going for it for a time!
