  1. Ash plume has reached 31,000 feet tonight! http://mbl.is/mm/frettir/innlent/2010/05/05/gosmokkur_i_31_thusund_feta_haed/ Is that as high as it got in April?
  2. There's some good photos and videos on this site (in wmv format, however): http://www.ruv.is/ http://www.ruv.is/upptokur/sjonvarp/allar
  3. http://www.ruv.is/innlendar-frettir The above is updated now and again. Translate it to English and it makes a little sense. The following is about more ash this evening and lightning too - http://www.ruv.is/frett/mikid-oskufall-vid-vik
  4. My browser (Chrome) translates it automatically but even then I can't make a lot of it out!
  5. http://www.ruv.is/frett/bolstrar-i-30-thus-feta-haed-myndir I think this is reporting the fresh eruption.
  6. Whoa, the plume is massive now Even bigger than what happened on Thursday morning?
  7. Sometimes it can be slow. Just leave it load and it eventually comes. It looks absolutely stunning now.
  8. http://eldgos.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull-fra-thorolfsfelli/ More notable eruption taking place now?
  9. I thought they were far cumulus clouds at first too but if you look at the refresh they seem to move (and rise up) too quick for that? This is the direction of the volcano anyway - as this image appeared on websites yesterday when those distant clouds were far darker. Just to be clear, I'm referring to the billowing clouds in the far distance, not the near small ones that sometimes block the view.
  10. http://eldgos.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull-fra-thorolfsfelli/ The plumes in the distance seem to be getting taller - is this a renewed eruption?
  11. 2.5 inches on the ground here and still snowing although not as heavy as 20 minutes ago when the most colossal flakes were falling.
  12. Woke up to a couple of cm's here. Going into town for college now- I se on the webcams that snow has actually stuck there too which is very rare. New MetEireann warning- Severe Weather Warning Heavy snowfall will affect mainly East Leinster today and tonight. Average snowfall 3-8 cm, but drifting may lead to higher accumulations.
  13. I really hope the showers penetrate far enough to Meath so we can get a covering. Also, I go to college in Dublin and I have never seen snow accumulate in the centre in all my life so it would be quite an event if it did.
  14. http://www.maroonspoon.com/wx/ike.html 4 live streams from local media.
