Yes Manchester was to showcase yet another weekend of debauchery which obviously was some time ago but it was the best weekend i've ever ever had out.....we went for tea at waga's where i tried something new which was awful but there you go, chickin chilli men again next time!
So we got ready and went to the academy to the nme tour to see the New Young Pony Club, The Sunshine Underground, Cansei de Ser Sexy and The Klaxons which was to be quite frank amazing, the NYPC i don't care much for i've seen them 3 times before but TSU where superb his voice goes right through you and they are quite heavy. CSS were bloody good too and they were the most fun it has to be said the little brazilbobs! Finally onto The Klaxons who played as tight as they usually do and treat a screaming crowd to faves such as magick, atlantis to interzone and golden skans.
Onto the Roadhouse a small venue near picc train station to see The Shakes live and Jamie Klaxon dj set, it was literally bouncing in there and we drank and danced alot and i met alot of people aswell as James Klaxon who can drink and dance with us mere mortals, nice.
After we fell to an afterparty at the Etnies peoples flat where we drank with strangers who kept appearing and dissapearing whilst some idiots found it plausible to stub fags out in expensive trainers which weren't even out yet, they were rich idiots mind.
    Ta ta, DB.
p.s i got some more great records!

Not much relation really just in the headlines about le pen's campaign starting, two words starting with f i guess but anyway.
Just got back from France this week in which we drive to stanstead and fly to poitiers or sometimes liverpool-limoges but anyway it was a nice week but the weather was changeable but we didn't go to do anything as such other than garden work. We put some decking up and made some stairs because the garden is in two levels now since we had the sanitation works done and i dug out some half dead bushes, other than that we went to Saintes which is a very nice place if you can ever get there we went to the old roman ampitheatre and to the church and a verrrrrry nice restaurant where i got some slightly raw steak but good non the less, a couple of pics below.
    Enjoy and thanks, DB
P.s going to be putting up my weekend before france blog soon, amazing weekend the best i've ever had out!

Oh where to begin? This weekend i've been in Manchester yet again and it was the best weekend of my life because on friday night i went on the train to my girlfriends but forgot the tickets for the after party. doh.
So on saturday morning we went back to mine to get the tickets and then onto manchester where we helped a friend move loads of clothes for this coming winters collection SO after that we did abit of shopping and headed out to Wagamamas for tea which is a japanese chain restaurant where it is reeeeeally informal and you get good food as it comes, i have chilli beef ramen which is like a big bowl of soup with noodles/chillies/lemongrass/coriander/red onion and beef and i had tori kore age and duck gyoza which were v nice.
After we had been back and changed we went to the NME shindig at the academy where i saw the klaxons, nypc, sunshine underground and CSS who were amazing...you should really check them out, only problem was the d1cks snapping glowsticks and throwing it over people(they obv. don't know what is in them) THEN we went to the roadhouse for the afterparty and it was utter filth i have to admit dancing and drinking with the klaxons james was a major highlight and jamie was playing a dirty dirty set. In there we met some guys from Etnies and some other London skate labels so obviously we went back to there apartment which was in the same complex as our....many drinks later and them stubbing fags out in brand new trainers which aren't even on sale i stumbled up at about 5 a.m this morning so i am totally £ucked but i bought some nice records this aft!
    Whoop, ta-ra DB!

...it really is boring, nice place but when i stay somewhere near nothing i wonder what to do, especially when it's raining soooo we went to castle howard and then up on the moors in the snow so i'll post some pics up soon of the cottage and such.
This coming weekend i'm seeing the CSS, sunshine underground club, klaxons, nypc and the two afore mentioned djing after all in one night in manc, and i'm moving this coming winters noa noa collections with a friend.

I'm having a belting weekend so far been in manchester until lunch today, on friday i went to to see Ray la montagne at the apollo and he was fantastic apart from a duff note on the last song he played haha then we went to social rehab for a couple and then saw our mate off so we went to the hotel.
Sat was some shopping, i bought some belting records and got a good finishing tune...Ian dury and the blockhead-hit me with your rhythm stick/reasons to be cheerful and a nice jumper and t-shirt and i then got my hair cut and went on a walk whilst waiting for my gf and i passed the communists with my bags of capitalism and took a leaflet off them 'doh'....got some good dvd's some japanese anime and a couple of european films.
THEN we went to the hotel and changed and went to China town for a belting shredded beef chilli and egg fried rice dishalicious! then to common in the northern quarter for wine and wine where i met a proper crank who knew everyone you could possibly know in music....found out he did know a few people but made the other stories up, bless.
Came home on the new trans pennine 185 today (shuggs!) gorgeous trains then i bussed it from hudds.
GReat weekend, off to Malton next weekned to stay in a cottage.
How were your weekends? come on let me know...off to a mates in a bit hopefully.
