  9. A low of 5.7c last night. The lowest minimum this summer. In the last 10 days all but two nights have been sub 10 . Certainly chilly for the time of year.
  10. A storm has just rattled through. Lots of lightening and thunder, with a burst of very heavy rain. Back to sunshine now
  11. 4.8c here, after what was quite chilly day. Certainly felt unusual for June. Could easily have been late March/early April. Coldest night of June so far is 4.2c, so perhaps in with a chance of beating that tonight.
  12. Had an hour or so of wet snow yesterday, although nothing since. December = Abysmal 2/3rds goodish end January = Okay (some decent-ish snow events) February = Abysmal Mind you far better than last year with further snow opportunities lasting through to April. This year may also be last year in this thread, with a possible move to the SE in September
  13. Yeah i'm amazed at the persistence of some of these snow patches. All gone from my village, i think, although the next one up still had nearly full cover on north facing gardens (grass) yesterday morning. I imagine western Sheffield has even greater cover!
  14. Was in Sheffield the other day. Was surprised how much was still around (Fulwood). About 10cm on the grass with a little less on shaded paths. Hills still white over. Even on the main paths ice was still around. Its done well to hang around
  15. May scrape the odd shower, but nothing more. Close the east coast should be better Opportunity for some snow showers Wednesday through to Thursday night on the GFS (across the region as a whole). UKMO keeps us mostly dry (away from the coast)
  16. Will certainly slow down although we need to it freeze tonight, but its too late for me (although still on northerly facing gardens, fields and in piles). Mind you in the village higher up there is still a good amount (amazing what 1 mile and a 50m difference can do!)
  17. Yeah next week looking much better in terms of cold air. Could be good for coastal regions with plenty of showers on offer. Further inland its hit and miss Snow thawing rapidly here. In fact its nearly gone in non sheltered areas. Should hold onto snow where its drifted, or is away from the wind.
  18. Currently snowing here and managing to stick. Seems a dusting was correct. as expected heaviest further east and north. Glad some have a good few cm;s from it . Should clear in the next few hours
  19. Temp hovering between 0.4 and 0.8c for the last few hours. Should stay like that in clear skies. Pennies ate that band coming in from the NW, so another miss for Sheffield. Hopefully will clip Chesterfield. Keep an eye on that band in Scotland. Still sticking with my earlier prediction although hope to be wrong! I'll be off work in the morning
