  1.  IanCD Ian it was moving east, but it was the top half of a low pressure area, which spins anti clockwise. So imagine a spinning top spinning anticlockwise as it moves across the floor, it kept moving East but had the northern part of the low across the area, which needed to clear. So it kept going for quite sometime (as expected to be honest).

    BTW we have more rain forecast later this week so I'd suggest getting the car where it needs to be before we hit our next inbound lows on Thurs and Friday (with some rain on Weds).

  2.  *Stormforce~beka* Where is the wind warning for this storm??! It's mental out there. Branches down and fences down here! And yet no warning?!

    There is a slight pressure gradient on the back off the low that's moving out over France, but not seen much untoward here in gusts.

    An overcast start as the low continues to pull away after a disgraceful day yesterday. The overnight low of 4.6°C at: 07:00 has just managed to reach 5.9°C , RH80% with a fresh breeze from the N.

  3. Morning All, a frosty night with the overnight low of -0.1°C at: 00:38, with the frost lifting around 6am as the temperatures began to rise to the current 7.9°C , RH92% and an increasing windspeed of a light breeze in from the SE - E. Some patchy light rain around.

  5. Morning All after an overnight low of -1.3°C at: 02:11currently, 6.3°C and RH97% with light air movement from the SSW - SW, some light drizzle and sunny spells, so a Heinz 57 day after rainfall at 07:50.

    Meanwhile the view from Above shows the early morning rain pulling away to the SE
