  1. Cautious approach from NW snow risk charts currently, given those heights, it still suggests WXSIM is holding good..
  2. Really, you must either be very lucky or living further away from the coast or higher altitude than me as at -1.8°C the only thing fallen on a very iced up car was rain!
  3. Nothing to get excited about as the cold air just isn't cold enough for us down here. Sat in an office in Bmth having driven in with the temperatures down to -1.8°C and it's raining, yes it's raining. SW incursions really do not bring much else but rain here unless the cold air has been around for a while. As for tomorrow, have to say at the moment I'm sticking with @Mapantz WXSIM prediction (below). Look at the wind direction off the channel, that will kill most things with no entrenched cold air present..
  4. Picking up a WXSIM from GOSPORT, the suggestion is as follows for Thursday:
  5. That looks an awful lot like @Mapantz WXSIM forecast, copious amounts of rain for here..
  6. @Mapantz if your WXSIM is to run true Thursday in to Friday looks very interesting
  7. Becoming positively balmy out there @ 7.7°C, wife asked me this morning "Is it cold" Ah, no....
  8. Morning All, a frosty start and overcast as the temperatures begins its skyward climb. Not much else to say really, apart from the fact there be light rain showers just to my north..
  9. -0.6°C here, but as you commented earlier it’ll be a rain fest down here on the coast, although I bet Karlos will be happy to test out his new found elevation..
  10. Yeah you guys down there do so well from the easterly as it kicks in from the channel, this ones looking a tad more...can one say....yuk..
  11. Well you finally got some..enjoy..that looks like a long streamer too..
  12. So that's 2-3 hrs of cold rain then, unless you live t'up north of our region, that's Ok, we're use to that. After the glorious but cool sunshine today, spring is seeming a nice certainty, BUT even that can loose in its way..Having said that, wandering down the hill here the other morning when it was frosty, caused some slippage so maybe no white stuff will be a blessing as I have meetings scheduled for Weds..
  13. The important sentence is highlighted...and exactness (pardon my english) is really the status of the winter until now, don't you think?
  14. Interesting they are against the rest of the bunch, but I think one sentence says it all really ".....although there is uncertainty in any detail....."caveat emptor
  15. Morning All, some early morning showers around, currently Temp: 4.7 °C & Dew Point: 1.0 °C. Some interesting thoughts as to the week and how it might pan out.
  16. Wow, that much..I best go find my micrometer, wouldn't want to miss measuring this seasons snowfall once it has happened.... Time for Christmas pud methinks and some brandy cream..cheers...
  17. Yeah, point taken, and appreciate you highlighting the options open as the data becomes available, ..
  18. Some slight movement to wind shifting from the SSW to W / NW, as the front slips further eastwards and the cooler air begins to dig in
