  1. CryoraptorA303 I'm at 17m ASL, Id call that pretty lowland lol My Peonies are well behind where they would normally be at this time of year - I expect them to be 7-14 days behind 'normal'. 13C grey and damp - spring, let alone summer, feels a long way off yet...
  2. Summer8906 Im not sure why you keep banging this drum that everything has bloomed early it hasnt around here. In my garden (south facing, the bluebells are out currently - bang on time) and out on a walk in the Cotswolds on saturday a fair few of the bluebells were still yet to open out - much to the annoyance of my girlfriend who had been instructed to get a good photo shot of some for work purposes.
  3. Windy, cold and cloudy all day - just loving this spring...
  4. Currently 8C and drizzle/light rain in Gloucester - truly awful April day there is no dressing it up as anything else but...such a far cry from yesterdays suuny skies which were a joy to be out in.
  5. Its very blustery today but after the early rain which was short and brief, its turned into a nice sunny day, not been this sunny in a long while!
  6. Not a bad morning so far, with a nice bit of sun coming in through the (home) office window. I wonder if we can actually manage a dry day...
  7. Alderc 2.0 Exactly Being on GMT would be a complete and utter waste of daylight hours through 3/4 of the year. And with people being told to reduce energy waste, having to use more electricity with the earlier darkness, it would be counter productive. Double BST gets my vote too.
  8. Summer8906 yeah getting light before 6.30am is a complete waste of daylight, far more useful having lighter evenings when most people are out and about and have things to do. Much better for the tourism and leisure sector too i would have thought...
  9. Tidy little bit of hail as the latest trough passes over. It might be yet another wet day but at least its squally heavy showers with some dry, even sunny, breaks in between so a bit more interesting to the usual mono cloud and drizzle/rain
  10. Arctic Hare tell me about it - got a load of washing done on the basis of what BBC had to say - now looking at the radar Im going to be forced into using the tumble drier
  11. As we are adding a date too now - make that prediction as 14th July
  12. BlueSkies_do_I_see Put me down for a 36.2C but would not be surprised if we get higher. Feels like we only need a short burst of heat to break records these days rather than weeks of dry sunny weather...
