  1. My brother is saying heavy snow in Morpeth and lying straight away. You can see in the showers up there its heavier. Hopefully its heading south..... He is where the dot is. I am 13 miles south....
  2. Yes you are a bit far in land for the coastal notherly showers! They are heavier ppn, but dont last long and you have to get luck
  3. Very heavy? Radar showing no red in your area. Must be another glitch. On a scale of 1 -10 with 10 being the heaviest snow you have ever seen what is it? Latest wind observations and forecast. Its after midnight I expect snow showers to come in off the sea
  4. Their warnings are based of current data and they always warn of the worst case to cover themselves... Well the data changed at the last minute... Northerly lasted literally hours and this system is not coming as far north as expected.... Does make you not believe them!
  5. Although temps are high, dew points are still low. This is an unusual set up. Could snow for more than expected..... unless of course the wind picking up off the sea throws a spanner in the works!!!
  6. Snow Shield broken? When did you get this shield anyway? Back in the early 90s I used to come down your way a fair bit and can remember many times you had more snow down there.
  7. Light snow falling here, which is surprising. I am expecting another dusting by morning, which will be 4 dustings in a row!!! As always!
  8. If you are lucky it might get to you before the wind picks up, when I am expecting a 2c rise along the coastal strip
  9. From memory I don't think this is correct. I recall them going north into Scotland and South into the midlands when supposed to be here. I think they are hopecasting!
  10. When the winds pick up off the sea temp will rise and it will be rain/sleet. You will need to be 10 miles inland or at 500ft elevation to get snow. However, later as the low moves away it will drag in colder air from the NE. This is set to happen early tomorrow morning. This is the best chance for most of us. If you are lucky enough to be inland/higher up.... good luck.. hope you get a dumping.
  11. For NE coastal areas, I am not expecting anything until the low clears away early Friday morning, pulling the colder air back in via a northerly flow.
  12. More light snow here giving a covering. That will be 3 mornings in a row, albeit small amounts, but decent for March. In fact moderate snow 5/10 intensity. Nice covering
