Still some rumbles in the distance but not as frequently as earlier it seems.

It appears to be cycling again on the far NE edge. I'm keeping an eye on all the other cells to the west of MK, they appear to be circling each other and building. Very odd movement. I can now hear thunder in all direction from the center MK, sounding angry again.

Did anyone in MK manage to get a view of that storm in all directions? I could only see bits and pieces of it. A lot of it was changing shape very, very fast. Think there may have been a funnel cloud in the distance but very brief, only for a few seconds.

I pointed out earlier it look like it had a wall cloud with rotation on it, but my observation was dismissed. Sadly I was stuck indoors with a screaming 5 month old, so couldn't go out and catch some video. Hopefully some one in Bedford or MK managed to get a pic or video. The sheer amount of lightning from it accompanied by powerful non stop thunder, squally winds for 2 or 3 mins and weird cloud structures resembling a whales mouth points to possible super cell characteristics.

Bbc going for thunderstorms to continue well into the night pushing from the south east through the Midlands edging to North west torrential at times. Interesting

Storm movement here is North East, Sat on the very edge of the cluster in Milton Keynes and all I can hear is constant angry sounding thunder to my south and east. All I have had is 10 mins of moderate rainfall which has made it feel like a sauna outside.

  4. Storms passed here about 30 mins ago. Thunder wasn't overly loud apart fro. Three or four bright purple coloured check bolts that were fairly close. Apart from a five min torrential downpour hardly any rain. Did however have some really nice elevated strobe lightning with the metallic crackling sounding thunder. Feels more humid outside after the storm than beforehand. All the rain that fell has almost evaporated away.
