Since I moved from central London to a house in a forest I have become very aware of the night sky without light pollution. Seen several shooting stars this evening. Part of the persieds I guess!
I haven't been on the ball with recent charts Daniel (moving from London so a bit harassed!) but I'll be watching closely over the winter! Bit off topic but then it is late. Cheers, Ls
Haven't posted for ages but that 18z has interested me. Just one run from the gfs so I'm holding fire for the moment. Greenland heights are encouraging for the coldies. a very early cool down in scandinavia and further south looks on the cards, but all the veterans on here know its still way off. Let's see what the 0z throws our way!
Hoping for a little snow this eve. Let's face it this winter has not delivered. Am off to the far north of Norway next week so hopefully will see a bit of snow! Good luck all for tonights' potential
Fluctuating snow grains in Westminster(mp dandruff no doubt) cant see much in the realms of possibility with regard to proper snow in the immediate future for most of the southeast
well an interesting 18z for london and the southeast. a few runs of the gfs and ecm have drawn 528 air over our area, mostly kent. the north downs may be the prime target for some of the white stuff. we'll see. beyond that we'll see how the pv shapes up
very busy season. igor strengthens to 80 mph sustained winds, cat 1 hurricane with the liklihood of cat 3 in the future. meanwhile potential julia and karl named systems on opposite sides of the atlantic wait in the wings. lots going on
