  1. Had a nice little dusting here on the east coast. Looks like some showers may be coing down the coast this morning.
  2. Love the snow photos, thanks! Snowless here in norfolk on the east coast. It has warmed up a little bit here with no frost.
  3. It's not really got going here near Great Yarmouth. It's been snowing a while, but just not quite had the rights set up for the snow to lay. (The heavier stuff was south of us) I think a lot of people will have some really nice snow surprises later. It's frustrating to have the snow falling and not laying, or snow you were hoping for/expecting not to arrive. If you're feeling aggy, maybe take a break for a bit, and with just a little luck we'll have a much better afternoon and evening.
  4. I am excited for the snow but scared I may need to get my dad to hospital. I have that confict that I'd love to see a memorable spell, but It's happening at the worst possible time!! I'll be curtain twicthing in the night for sure though!!
  5. Nice snow pellet shower here on the East Norfolk Coast. Nice quick dusting. Road has already melted the snow, but laying on cars and grass.
  6. Lightning strikes just off the coast here near great yarmouth. Just back from watching Shed 7 in Norwich and came though some nice snow / sleet / Hail showers.
  7. Any update on roads near Cambridge? I am now leaving Great Yarmouth to visit my dad in Addenbrookes Hospital. Just rain here near Gt Yarmouth, but I imagine I will drive through some snow on the way as I head south and west.
  8. Thanks for the response SF. Well you were bang on - snow laying on cars and just starting to lay on ground as well. I posted some photos in the picture thread. I am amazed at how accurate the forum forecasts were a week ago, espescially as on wednesday it began to look less likely that we would get snow. Well done all the forecasters who got this right so far in advance. Great start to winter.
  9. We have some snow falling in Caister just North of Gt Yarmouth but the ground is very wet still. What temperature does it have to be for snow to lay on wet ground - or does it have to freeze first? Thanks for all who are posting it's been fascinating. Great forecasts guys.
