  1. Coming down nicely here in Mancs, the band of heavier ppn is finally about to hit almost bang on time!
  2. Starting to get heavier here too, and still waiting for the heavier stuff to arrive. Not far off, although not AS heavy as it was. Damn.
  3. Damn, the yellow blob has slightly de-intensified, but still lots of heavier ppn heading our way!
  4. Me too, that was my fear beforebut latest update looks like we should be in firing line
  5. SE/EA thread is my old threat (well, from 3 years ago when I lived in Suffolk) - been just as great - if not better - in here this afternoon!
  6. My thoughts also, definitely merging and slightly intensifying and now heading through. Great developments, and still snowing here anyway. Exciting times!
  7. That's ok, just hope I'm right and you may be pleasantly surprised Looks good from where I am sitting. Snowing a bit heavier here already.
  8. As I have been saying for an hour (hahahaha ps: still snowing here, but lightly) heavier, and more ppn from SW Scotland and Irish sea is now heading towards our region. Round 2... Although round 1 never ended here!
  9. If the ppn to the NW of us hits us, it looks heavier to me. As in the stuff to SW Scotland/above NI.
  10. Look at the radar, PPN above NI and to SW Scotland is heading SEwards towards our region... ppn also out in Irish Sea. Still lots of PPN over our region as it is. That isn't deluded. I'm not saying it is definitely going to hit us, but the ppn isn't moving W to E, and was never forecast to.
  11. Look at the ppn in SW Scotland, moving SE'wards. I would imagine it is forecast to come from there, but on the current trajectory it almost looks like it is too high to hit the NW, but maybe there will be a change in track. I am keeping my eye on it. Infact the ppn above NI is also heading SE's, so either way, ppn will hit the region. Most models have heaviest stuff over us at 9pm.
  12. Moderate snow in Salford, covering all surfaces. Not heavy or a blizzard though.
  13. Very strange. I live in Salford, thermometre reading -1oC and still moderate snow, settled everywhere over last hour, not deep but great to watch. Would have imagined Stockport would have got similar!
  14. My outside thermometre is registering -0.8 now after some snow, very light now but I expect this to occur in waves of more moderate to heavy snow (particularly later on). A light dusting on all surfaces here.
  15. Latest GFS has adjusted the extend of the ppn to roughly where it is now, and it still goes for the heaviest stuff over NW come around 9pm, the Irish sea ppn is pepping up as we speak.
  16. Latest GFS ppn charts (for what they are worth) has the light to moderate snow lasting from now, and the heaviest stuff over our region come 9pm, with the ppn clearing between 3am and 6am.
  17. It is expected to stall, but it has got a little further east so far. Still, it is heading NW to SE'wards so should be lots of ppn to come hopefully pepping up a bit. Definitely an evening for radar watchin.
  18. Just getting heavier, and starting to settle in Manchester.
  19. The yellow stuff over Mancheser is currently falling as snow. It is 0.8oC where I live at moment, light but nice, no settling yet!

  21. Sorry to keep banging on about it, but you can comment on a particular run (perhaps with charts to back up your thoughts) but you can't talk about it as gospel, as if it is more likely to happen than the previous one, or the next one. And yes accuracy is of course important, but this is usually (note usually) accompanied by consistency.
  22. Agree to disagree mate. You don't discount the few previous runs based on one single run.The upgrades might start at T48 on the next run, but it doesn't mean the models have sorted it out yet. That's all I'm saying. Pleasure to have such optimistic and enlightening posts for new members to read...
