  1. Yeah but if there's actually anything worth seeing it will probably be around 3-4am, I won't be spending my saturday morning waiting for that!
  2. Had a quick look at the charts/data and can't see more than a short period of snow/sleet/freezing rain before all rain as the front sweeps through tomorrow morning. Uppers reaching around 1c when precipitation hits, without light winds we won't get any evaporative cooling. The dewpoint at 6am expected to be 1 or 2c and the 0 degree isotherm is way the wrong side of marginal. I would even expect rain later saturday morning rising to above 250m. Won't be in the slightest bit dissapointed as had a memorable event yesterday!
  3. 0.1c here, come on just drop a tad more, then the light snow currently can add a little more depth.
  4. Cool, hopefully the models will turn more favourable for saturday and we see snow in your forecast again :). What I'm liking so far this winter is we have had 4 snowfalls around here, we've gone from wet snow here not settling, to a wet dusting, then 2" of slush, to finally today a beautiful 5" plus! Each snow event just gets progresively better with the snow line increasingly lower. Very promising signs for the rest of the winter, almost textbook stuff of how winter can just slowly twist the knife. Hopefully this all culminates in a 1947 style februrary/march . One thing, I'm pretty shaw the polar vortex and atlantic is slowly being eaten away until something gives masively, could be that big greenland high your predicting
  5. Yeah will be interesting to see just how cold it gets over the snowfields, I wouldn't even be supprised with a -8 or -9 tonight lol. Daredn't think how bad the roads are going to be tomorrow, especially little side roads . Would love another dumping saturday but I'm not expecting anything at all apart from maybe a little front edge snow/freezing rain.
  6. I mean for close to 100% settling snow out of what's falling from the sky. At the lower part of ilkley where I was working today (200ft) there was a tiny bit of meltage in places/off trees.
  7. Yeaah man!, so pleased that most of us are getting a good dumping and not just one area. This is certainly going to go down as one of the best snow events I've seen here, never seen such carnage on the normally busy A road outside my house. Hopefully a bit more to come.
  8. Similar scenes here, thankfully the snow line with all snow has been around 250ft around here, rather than the 550ft last friday!
  9. Wow what an event, we hit the jackpot here! atleast 4" here but hard to tell and just got in from work so need to take a measurement. Absolute chaos on the road, even ouside my house with motorists stranded.
  10. Haha me neither like you say heavier precipitation will be a game changer, once it starts coming down heavy could be some big surprise accumulations. Just need temp at magic 0c now for 100% settling potential lol
  11. 0.3c here cant believe I've had a temperature fall of 0.7c in just 30 minutes, before even the heavy stuff arrives lol
  12. It's looking good isn't it, can't believe how quickly temperature is dropping now. Now 0.4 at 300ft. Looks like the precipitation is due to be much heavier than initially forecast, that could have a big impact on how low snow line gets to and total accumulations
  13. Nothing here, wet ground and a lot of fog. Temperature plumeting inlast half hour from 1c to now 0.5c. I'm feeling optimistic about later this morning!
  14. Is that rain/snow radar on premium? I didn't realise it had that capability? Rain today is my go to radar
