Had a quick look at the charts/data and can't see more than a short period of snow/sleet/freezing rain before all rain as the front sweeps through tomorrow morning. Uppers reaching around 1c when precipitation hits, without light winds we won't get any evaporative cooling. The dewpoint at 6am expected to be 1 or 2c and the 0 degree isotherm is way the wrong side of marginal. I would even expect rain later saturday morning rising to above 250m. Won't be in the slightest bit dissapointed as had a memorable event yesterday!

Cool, hopefully the models will turn more favourable for saturday and we see snow in your forecast again :). What I'm liking so far this winter is we have had 4 snowfalls around here, we've gone from wet snow here not settling, to a wet dusting, then 2" of slush, to finally today a beautiful 5" plus! Each snow event just gets progresively better with the snow line increasingly lower. Very promising signs for the rest of the winter, almost textbook stuff of how winter can just slowly twist the knife. Hopefully this all culminates in a 1947 style februrary/march . One thing, I'm pretty shaw the polar vortex and atlantic is slowly being eaten away until something gives masively, could be that big greenland high your predicting

Yeah will be interesting to see just how cold it gets over the snowfields, I wouldn't even be supprised with a -8 or -9 tonight lol. Daredn't think how bad the roads are going to be tomorrow, especially little side roads . Would love another dumping saturday but I'm not expecting anything at all apart from maybe a little front edge snow/freezing rain.
