  1. but that's showing pink snow Robin, and everyone knows that pink snow doesn't settle!!..... Actually that's total codswallop, a bit like some of the posts in the past 20 mins, see my above post! (Nice post BTW Robin! )
  2. Lord, here we go again...people hanging on people's words and even then still managing to misinterpret them......Please, think before you post otherwise posts with innacurate and/or disinformation may well be removed
  3. Ok, a fresh thread with a plea for constructive posting. By all means, discuss all things weather related to our region, but remember that we have no control over the weather yet do have control over our emotions when posting....ta! Old thread here ----->
  4. Just got in from work, and read through this mornings posts and all I can say is, Jeez, that was painful to read. If I were a psychiatrist reading this thread, I'd have some of you sectioned for your own good, talk about hanging on the every word of individual posters and model output!......Please, for your own sanity, take long, deep, breaths, chill out with your favourite tipple or 'Jamaican Woodbine' whatever floats your boat and please help make the thread more bareable to read...cheers!
  5. I'm sure Ian will appreciate the supportive comments made by members....The offending post has been removed, so with that in mind, probably best if we move the discussion forwards....Thanks everyone
  6. Damn!..Apologies.....I didn't spot Fred Sykes original post. It was against forum guidleines and shouldn't have slipped through....Deleted now!
  7. too early to tell....if (and it's a big if) 12z suite verify, then it will reach Newbury friday night into saturday giving substantial snowfall
  8. Haven't seen Ian's forecast, but if today's 12z model suite verify then Sports Direct will do brisk business as punters who can't afford snow shoes buy up their Tennis racket supplies!
  9. Okerly Dokerly, you know the drill....... ....and off we go.....carry on here... old thread here ------------- http://forum.netweat...s/page__st__840
  10. Im going to start a fresh thread shortly, as you're posting so damn much...lol.....So please, finish off any posts and I'll link new thread shortly
  11. Just to reiterate, can we please knock the 'troll' comments on the head, as all it does is cause grief in the thread.....If any member wishes to query any questionable content in a post then hit the 'Report' button and let a member of the site team deal with the issue.....ta!
  12. Was just about to post the same, although perhaps not as politely as you ...lol
  13. A few in here are guilty of righting off scenarios before they even happen!. Please try to post constructively, with a least a hint of positivity....Thanks
  14. Steady rain now, no sign of it turning wintry, a tad disappointing tbh
  15. thats my hope Shaun, maybe some evaporated cooling in the heavier bursts heading this way will bring the freezing levels down and give us some snow
  16. well, the ppn has reached here and the v6 NW radar infers it is snow, but alas an outside check confirms it's an icy rain
  17. A covering overnight here in Lyneham.....Surface temps & dewpoint temps progged to rise now for the next few hours then drop again, so probably a sleety mix turning back to snow this afternoon
  18. sadly no, they are not part of the NW Archive any more
  19. well, the 12z snow risk forecast has updated for NW Extra subscribers, and it's promising for here tomorrow, some light overnight snow, then a rain to snow event for tomorrow afternoon/evening
  20. I wouldn't write it off just yet, for us in the far north & east of the region, tomorrow is still of interest, just the wrong side of marginal presently, but local variences such as altitude, dew points etc could lead to some getting snow tomorrow, The Costwolds, The Downs, Salisbury plain even here in Lyneham!
