My temp is close to 3 C now .. so a good thaw. BL

Not long back from my dog walk and it was just ordinary drizzle. Thankful for that.

My thermometer reading -4 C .. and it says that on my laptop info too. From what I can glimpse outside it looks totally white and sparkly with frost Might be an out with the camera morning.

Just had to boil kettles to melt a hole in the ice on my fish pond. It's been several days fully iced over. Fresh water and more food out for the garden birds too. Hope folks are keeping outdoor pets warm as possible, especially little caged ones. I've skidded about rather trying to walk my whippet. She has a big quilt coat.

Only just below zero here now, it was -2C at bedtime. A freezing fog and all over white with frost though. Doesn't look tempting to be out early to me ! Brrrr. BL

Now known to be at least 160 killed by the earthquake. 5.6 doesn't sound such a big quake to have such a devastating effect ? I experienced the Market Rasen 5.2 one and it was pretty minor. Maybe the depth difference / building standards ? BL

I was lucky. I didn't know in advance .. turned on the BBC morning news and there were pics of the rocket and they said it was about to launch ... short countdown and it flew into the pitch black sky. Yay, Artemis 1 is finally on the way to the Moon. Successfully launched in the last few minutes. Spectacular sight in the night sky.
