  14. Well, I decided to go out and give the bugger a chase Managed to catch the blighter on the other side of the M1 - drove straight into it and it was like a scene from an apocalypse movie! Pitch black, flashes all around me, big BIG booms of thunder and the rain was amazing.. Drove back a bit as it passed and tried to take a few pics/videos Was lucky enough to get the following just as I started the video - have slow-mowed the strike as it 'appeared' to hit one of the M1 Motorway signs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnSu3ThD1kQ&feature=youtu.be strike 1970714slomo.wmv Continued back towards home, stopped off and took a few pics of the back-end of the storm and to contrast, the lovely blue skies that followed it..
  15. Just when I thought the cell was quietening down, it explodes again... Jeez the tension!
  16. Is sure looking that way...according to my detailed scientific investigations, we are right in the firing line (ok so I held a stick against the screen on the live lightning strike webpage - so shoot me!)
  17. Holy cow.... http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=nl It's just constant lightning down there :O
  18. Reports coming in of a fatality - sad news indeed.. " A man thought to be in his 70s has been killed at Bremhill near Calne while trying to remove a tree which had brought down power cables, say Wiltshire Police. They say he is believed to have been electrocuted."
  19. Wow - that was intense! Short but very strong. Hail and a couple of VERY close CG strikes - lights flickering on and off A nice surprise that was
