  1. We are also at 27.8C indoors, upstairs and downstairs. Outside temperature is the same.
  2. First day of meteorological autumn here started grey and drizzly leaving raindrops on the spider webs. Sun trying to break through now.
  3. Last couple of days here have reverted to the dull days of July. Now drizzling here. Lights on inside. Seems like autumn already
  4. We have had a few rumbles of thunder but not seen any lightning, so maybe that is why?
  5. Hearing a rumble or two of thunder this afternoon, haven't seen any lightning yet. Looks like another sharp shower heading our way soon!
  6. Sun has still not broken through here. Just fairly still and humid feeling. Oh well, at least it’s not raining.
  7. Grrr just put the washing on the line and it’s now raining! I had checked the radar too and it looked as if the shower was North of here. I was fooled!
  8. Oh no, that sounds awful. Hope you find somewhere else soon. Weather outside sounds like autumn already, rain and wind. Yuck
  9. Wow you made it there. What an experience. Great photos. I have been watching it on the live YouTube channels. I have seen some spectators in the background that certainly seemed foolhardy being so close.
  10. Drizzling here too. Nothing showing on the radar though. Typical British weather. The school summer holidays start and we have a grey, wet and windy weekend!
  11. I agree with some that the thumbs down symbol means you dislike a post rather than disagree. How about a not sure about that/ puzzled face emoji, like this one ?
  12. Really feels quite warm out there now, especially because the wind has dropped off. I don’t think I want it much hotter than this. I hope the heatwaves that are over Europe and America don’t spread to us!
  13. Would the reaction also imply that you dislike the post?, as well as /or disagree?
  14. Looks like it’s calmed down quite a bit this morning. Hopefully it won’t stop too soon.
  15. Would be great to see it in person. If you get there, you will have to share some photos on here.
  16. I have been watching and waiting for that!
  17. Finally a torrential downpour here now. Typically just in time for the kids coming out of school 2f3235aa-5dfa-4ac7-965a-b2aca670fa8c.mp4
  18. Temp 22.5C at the moment. Fairly cloudy, and a breeze making it feel quite cold outside. Even had to change into jeans, instead of shorts!
  19. Haha, there is something called Deflatine that might help with that. Still been windy here today, but at least it is bringing warmer air now. And what are those white puffy things in the sky? It's been a couple of weeks with lovely blue skies. The garden is already needing watering so would be good to have some rain soon.
  20. I think it’s possible the casualties smashed into the pier supports, after the boat caused ‘rip currents’ by coming in too fast, from what I read. Obviously speculation, very sad whatever happened.
  21. I agree, it still feels cold unless you can be in a very sheltered sunny spot. Apart from that it's lovely to have blue skies and sunshine. Could do with the odd shower though. Already having to do some watering of the garden plants. I wonder if it's only in Britain that we are never happy with the weather. It's either too hot, too cold, too rainy, too grey, too windy etc.
  22. Lovely day today. The breeze felt a bit cool again this morning, but soon warmed up during the afternoon. Temp in the back garden is 24C at the moment. Warmest so far this year. Soon we will be complaining we need rain!
  23. My phone had the alert at least a minute early. I found it a bit underwhelming really. Probably because I was watching my phone waiting for it. Hubbies went off at the scheduled time. I'm not against it, although if it's like the forecast for snow I would be sceptical that whatever the warning was, would actually happen.
