Don't worry, we've always got torro to issue Tornado warnings everytime a rain drop falls
Maybe one should drop on the met office might wake them up a bit
back to the weather heavy downpour just past through here temp is around 17c -
Are the Met Office asleep, I cant believe nothing has been issued regarding that precip down in the south around Poole.
The met office never issued anything last night either or were they hiding under their desks from the lightning

cracking storm over Pontypridd - threw my electrics right out and mains fuse went with one cracking flash - really nasty thunder too - from the radar that looks like it for south wales for tonight
Yeah was watching the lightning from here as you said looks like thats our lot for tonight unless mother nature has more surprises up her sleeve .

My brother just called me from St Ives telling me that they have a bad electrical storm down there.

Yes, but killed-off eastwards now as the transient ridging takes over. Vast improvement already here in Bristol: Beefy TCu's of only 25mins ago now replaced by very well capped Strato Cu and plenty of blue sky / late sunshine.

It's strange how the southwest of england seems to miss out on the storms though i do remember one good storm we had which was on 2nd july 2000 or 2001 which went on all night from 8pm through till 9am the next day anyone else remember that one and does anyone have any radar images for that night

Something seems to be showing up to the south of me no visual of anything yet though but various lightning detectors point to a few strikes near me

Been pointing out for a while the potential for those cells that hit cornwall.
They have increased in size VERY quickly, and theres a MASSSIVE cell due to hit st-austall way in an hour or so.
I'll be watching out for that one got the camera at the ready
