Are'nt XC Weather wind directions taken at 10 mtrs? If so, how representative are they when trying to match up to the radar?
And if XC is correct, it looks like after 6PM for any easterly element.
Does anyone have any data for expected wind direction & speed for this afternoon / eve? I wonder if its due to gain an easterly element to push some showers inland a bit?
Cheers Coast!
Just found it on their website. The wind readings are taken at 10 meters. That would explain the difference between the winds and the radar!!
Just looking on XC Weather at the wind directions and the show them as northerly for almost all of the UK and yet the radar is clearly bringing the front in a south easterly direction. Any ideas as to why this is? I'm guessing the radars and the wind directions on XC weather are at different heights??
Anyone noticed the PPN developing it the last half an hour in the estuary? Could this be anything not forecast? Been lightly snowing in Sandwich fir the last hour or so.
