    A quick question. Here in Bedford we seem to have storms start then the lightning and thunder stops fairly quickly. This had happened in the past few years? Any reason why? Bedford is obviously by the Ouse etc does this have any bearing whatsoever? Just curious

    I was always told that living near the chilterns if the storm didn’t get in it would travel around and hence miss places in Bedfordshire. Don’t know if that’s possible?

    Everything is dying out before reaching here. Thought we may be in for a few cm tonight but not sure now! Any idea if the showers will pep up overnight?! Hoping but I think not. Frustrating

    Will have a look, temp dropping here and dew point now -3c so that will be enough. Certainly developing situation. Still we were quite lucky the other week. Fingers crossed.

    Keeping an eye on a possible line of showers around the Kings Lynn area that are heading inland. Hoping they will last. What are your thoughts?

    Am I right in thinking if the precipitation is further north than was first thought is that good news for more west of the EA region? have a very light covering on grass/cars etc here but clearing now. Def a nowcast and radar watching situation.

    Proper wet snow now, not settling yet and not much left to come looking at radar which is a shame

    Some big wet flakes mixed with the rain now in Bedford. At least it is something.

    Temp dropped to 4.2c and dew point dropping quickly now 3.3c. Dont expect much here though

    Hi, do we think that Bedfordshire is too far west for tomorrow or will there be a late swing to show it moving more to the west of the region? Is it just a case of now casting when it starts a bit like the other Sunday when the front moved further north than predicted and we got about 5cm. Appreciate that was from the southwest and not southeast. Think we may get more from heavy showers sunday night/monday? What are other thoughts please. TIA

    Strange weather here this morning. Clear and now fog rolling in, temp dropped to 1.2c and still dropping and DP dropped to 0.5c. Think we are right on the edge for snow tomorrow but still think its a case of watching the radar. May catch something if a wash streamer sets up. fingers crossed. Stay safe everyone

    Also work in a SEN school and had a jab on Wednesday. Second one in April. All good so far. Looking forward to some snow on Sunday/Monday. But may not get as much as first thought.

    Hi Snowking, being in Bedford also, are we on the edge of the big stuff? How much do you expect us to get. Pretty sure it will be a nowcast but 5cm the other sunday was more than expected. fingers crossed for all

    Still some light snow coming down in Bedford but what a surprising day. Up to about 6cm. Didn’t expect that tbh. Very lucky compared to some. If the skies clear later will be a tricky morning drive.

    Have a lot more snow than I thought we would have. About 6cm now and still falling moderately! is it beginning to pivot??
