  2. Is there any chance south east will get any snow , does anybody know ? Tia
  3. This the forth day of rain and more to come ! We had flooding in January ,so definitely not droughts down here .Here hoping for a long hot summer
  4. Yeah ,it was colder for us in December and January than now . This damp wet misty drizzy followed by heavy burst of rain has finished me off today .Roll on summer
  5. Hahaha they are weird!!! Love snow but missed out this time , 15 miles up the road they had loads grrrrr. Hate the rain
  6. Today has been absolutely pants weather wise down here in east sussex ,13 miles from the coast. It has been cold rain and drizzle. I have got soaked twice walking the dog. Had a few flakes of snow early this morning but quickly turned to rain and it hasn't stopped since
  7. Nothing but rain here , was hoping for a little bit but wasn't to be .
  8. Hi , are the charts showing it could be 20°? ( Very inexperienced chart reader here lol) Also are the charts showing march could be snow and cold as some have said here that it could be ?? Thanks in advance
  9. So if I read this right and other charts posted I can wear my new Xmas coat soon or do I have to wait till next year lol
  10. Was brilliant wasnt it, although did make us late for a carol service at the church ,they weren't impressed .(especially as we aren't regular goers) Just need to finish the day with good signs for at least cold Xmas and I will go to bed happy .
  11. I would be quite happy with just cold temp for Christmas, it doesn't have to snow ,just nice and cold would be great
  12. So as a complete novice as I have said before lol,I'm completely confused, mild cold ,mild cold and now mild especially in south east ,temp showing double figures (I could cry). So if I'm following the charts and things you post it's mild Sunday onwards ,it's that right. Thank you in advance for reply as it must be so annoying to answer such mundane question. X
  13. As a cold Lover and a total novice to reading charts ect but learning a lot as I read these post ,I have to hold my breath before looking at the thread throughout the day lol one minute I'm excited it's going to say cold and the next a bit flat when it shows mild but as you say that's the weather for you. I must say it's absolutely bitter out there tonight so making the most of the few days left of cold spell until the mild sweeps in . Thank you all for such interesting post even if I can't understand them all ,I'm learning though
  14. I have been observing the forum as I am in no way shape or form able to make sense of any runs or charts ect but absolutely love reading what you have all written and have always been interested in the weather . I adore cold weather in winter and get very excited if it shows any chance of it . living in the far south it's been so mild bordering on warm for quite a while now, am I right in thinking from what you all have written that we are going to get something colder ? I don't mind if it's not record breaking but cold enough to wear a jumper and coat without boiling to death lol. Many thanks for any replies and just want to say you are all so clever and I really enjoy this forum even if I couldnt tell one end of the chart from another, although I do try.
  15. So that's nearly every where except me ,looks like rain for me ಠ︵ಠ
  16. Hope you had a great Christmas day. Hope this mild and rain shifts, it's pouring down here ?️ just imagine if it had been snow I can but dream
  17. Hi, it all seems very exciting in here today but as much as I try and understand what's going on it makes me more confused than ever. So to an inexperienced chart reader is the cold hitting the UK as a whole or just up north or no cold at all lol. Thank you for your time Much appreciated
  18. Can I ask a question please as you are better qualified in the weather chart readings than me. By the sounds of the posts tonight it shows cold weather is coming but why do the BBC weather apps ect show milder temps, do they not read the same charts? Thanks in advance
  19. I don't understand the charts or the runs but follow this thread daily to try and learn. This has been like reading a a gripping thriller that you can't put down. One minute it looks like I'm going to get my wish for a cold maybe snow Christmas, the next it's rain and slightly milder. Who knew weather could have more twist and turns than a crime novel lol. Fingers crossed for cold weather
  20. Oooo I don't mind colder, just don't want it any warmer.
  21. May I ask the experts.... Is my end south coast going to see colder temps this weekend. The met office says 5°c on Saturday which is so much nicer than the horrible mild double figures of late. Is this right ? Thank you guys
  22. Thank you for the replies, love this thread and the good sense of humour. Here's to anything that's in single figures, loveee the cold in winter. Cheers guys
  23. I have been looking in on this thread for a couple of weeks, so interested in the weather but absolutely no idea what all the charts mean lol So are we getting cold event or just slightly colder. I live in South East and forecast says 6-9 with rain. Very confused as I have watched you all get excited then not lol. Thanks in advance for replying
