  1. First time in a good few Saturdays that I managed to stay dry whilst getting mums shopping this morning. Been pleasant enough, lots of cloud but lots of sunshine too. Winds been quite gusty, blew these little fellas out of the tree, early presence of what is around the corner.
  2. Quite a gusty wind picking up here. Had a brief bout of sunshine and temp almost reached 21°C, blue sky disappearing, grey murky cloud filling in from the west. Visiting friend in hospital after work when I finish at 6, hope most of the evening stays dry, I'm on foot.
  3. Yes, nothing of note thunder wise, current temp for my location 16.1°C, dew point 13°. From the ground observation there's complete cloud cover, no structuring visible, Man Airport not reporting CBs or TCUs. Looks like showers aren't too far away.
  4. Been stunning, had an afternoon out and about. Walked around the bottom of Kinder and Hayfield. The purple Heather on the hills at this time of year is beautiful. Perfect sunshine and not too hot, temp neared about 23°. Had the best blueberry muffin ever.
  5. Just rain to look forward to then on Friday. Lovely here today, overcast and a bit misty on the tops first thing this morning. Sunny and temp 18.3°C
  6. Had a brief bright spell with some sun, temp maxed at 21°C. Had a torrential downpour about 4.30 with quite a wind making it feel like a squall. Had another downpour since and a decrease in temp you could feel, it dropped 4°C to 17°C, doesn't feel so muggy anymore. No T and L seen or heard.
  7. Yes, tis a dark morning. Wet, grey and a tad on the muggy side at 15.3°C.
  8. Not been a write off of a weekend here. Had a couple of showers yesterday am, one heavy shower this am, the rest of the time it has been about as bright as it can be whilst remaining overcast. It's been a decent weekend so far compared to a number of previous wet ones. A few have alluded to the possibility of some thunder tomorrow, ESSL have an area of the NW at risk in the afternoon, it's going to be a wet day for most tomorrow.
  9. Sat outside on a break at work it's glorious, plenty of cloud but plenty of sunshine too. There's a keen wind blowing, 23°C.
  10. Been stunning all day here so far, earlier cloud bubbled up then disappeared. Rostherne max looks like 27.1°C, that is more than enough for me. Cloud appearing right now out West. Have you been out on your walk? Hope your evening stays fine, Where are you walking to?
  11. Yes, there was the aroma of summer as I walked to work at 6.30am, wall to wall blue sky, how I wished I wasn't walking to work but out on a hike instead, sigh.
  12. Warm night, temp stuck around 15°C with no pre dawn dip. Lovely clear orange sunrise. Will the sun last today? As @Chris.R has mentioned, also here's ESSL outlook at 3pm today, sunshine maybe cut short with a bit of T and L.
  13. Yes, the sunshine made it to early afternoon, been warm, grey and overcast since. No firey colourful sunsets tonight. Warm enough for a drink in a beer garden this evening.
  14. A lovely sunrise befitting of August, but not the temp though, felt quite cool in the night, temp dipped to 8.5°C around 5.15am.
  15. Lovely day here today. Had the most briefest of drizzle mid morning but it has been warm and pleasant. I don't think temp was too far from reaching 20°C. Despite a beautiful, colourful sunset this evening, the nights feel like they are really drawing in now.
  16. Just had the first shower of the day here. Been out and about around Teggs Nose, lovely weather for walking, good clear views right across Cheshire and way beyond. The white dish of Jodrell Bank telescope distinctly standing out.
  17. Not been bad at all here all morning. Can see the showery wet system out west, but here I'm far East enough to so far stay dry with some good bursts of warm sunshine. Some ominous clouds bubbling up North and west though.
  18. Yes, not too bad a start here. Some blue sky, much brighter and it's dry. Min last night 10.5°C, anyone drop into single digits?
  19. Thought it was getting a little brighter earlier but it was just pretending, cos it has been raining again for the past hour and a half. Man Airport max of 15°C.
  20. Hi, welcome to the Netweather Forum. It's been abysmal for our part of the region this morning, been under orange and red echoes on the radar. Drying up a bit though these last couple of hours.
  21. Grey wet, miserable. Customer in my place of work this morning said, that she is so fed up with this grey miserable weather she will be putting up her Christmas tree if it carries on.
  22. It's better late than never but the sun magically appeared a few mins ago to say goodnight, as it sets, another bonus is It's stayed dry all day here too. Not going to mention tomorrow.
  23. Cannot see the hills at all this morning. A muggy feel as I walked to work under 'warm' rain/drizzle, not pleasant.
  24. I'd be tempted to leave the tent out in the rain if it's a new one, good check for any potential leaks, will give you a chance to seal any seams before you camp. Loving the new Iceland lava profile pic. From what I can see from work it's been lovely here so far, cloud is building up a bit now.
