  1. Just driven back from Kinghorn, and blizzard conditions on the Queensferry crossing. Back in Dennyloanhead and mixture of snaw and hail. 2c, from 9c early afternoon
  2. Thankfully it has started to recede, but when I took that picture there was about 4" deep along the side of the house draining off to the main road. The hill at the side of us had water cascading down it for the first time ever.
  3. Very chilly early morning drive to Newcastle today, -8 on parts of the M74
  4. Sleety posh currently falling as I left Bannockburn to head hame. Very depressing
  5. Blowing a hoodie here, just praying my side fence clings on as found a post rotting so gate won't latch as fence is flexing.
  6. @Quinach Just back from our goto dark spot, and definite aurora, but clouds now rolling in. If clear skies look north as very active tonight. Keep a track using Glendale Aurora app. Frost setting in now and down to 1c. All snaw gone.
  7. Another cold crisp evening, frost not shifted all day. Currently isolating due to daughter, so took my dog walk earlier And just back from another wander
  8. Cracking crisp night, not a cloud in sight, new moon and the Quadrantid mentor shower happening. 2022's Quadrantid meteor shower peaks today! | Space WWW.SPACE.COM Depending on where you live, they could be pretty tricky to spot.
  9. Grey and very wet day. Rain thankfully eased of now, bit car reading 12c at 3pm Was out train spotting earlier and caught the cross country from Glasgow Central to Carlisle
  10. Out to Kinghorn whale watching, this was the hill out back of Burntisland just now. Sun making a rare appearance, 7c but feeling cold

  12. Just in from dropping daughter off in Stirling for work, and it is still grey, cold and wet. Car was reading 3c.
  13. Misty, murk permagloom all day, wish it would clear, huge aurora going off this evening. Seems Skye is only place with clear sky at present.
  14. Bit of a non event here, good drying day with some wet flakes mid afternoon. Now clear and 4c. Nice dusting on Myothill and over towards Fintry

  16. Sheet ice everywhere this morning, temp hovering around 0c still. Anyone near the Fife coast, worth a trip to Kinghorn as there is 2 humpback whales. Usually spotted between Inchkeith and Bass Rock

  18. What a month April was, warm, dry and sunny. May, wet cold and I have covid...., and due to my isolating starting when my son tested positive I am on day 13 of 20!!! Back to wester, snaw in Forres....
