  1. Can see the lightshow from the cell that got triggered off from over the Goyt Valley, though it's going in the wrong direction for me... oh well!
  2. The cell that was active South of Stoke, it appears the setting sun has killed off the energy in it, leaving gorgeous sunset in it's wake
  3. Yeah, It's skirting South of the city, not coming as Northerly, so might not be direct hit, but will be on the periphery. From my position, the Sun is hazy setting, yet getting middling large blobs rain, while to my South is an unending constant thunder rumbling! Due to how "distant" most of it sounds, I believe a lot of it is elevated, with a couple of cg strikes coming through when it goes more booming.
  4. Rumbling getting closer, getting large drops of rain coming down...
  5. It seems the one moving from South to West of Stoke, has decayed a bit, but connected by lots of cloud to the Monstrous storm heading my way, currently over Market Drayton! Have been hearing consistent distant rumbling for the past 20 minutes having been outside. That leading front of the storm seen in this picture just passed over my location, seems to be leading far in front of the main action!
  6. Can confirm! Was driving through flooded roads and biblical rainfall with a good couple of Cc lightning to get to my dentist appointment! Back home now, but still feeling humid and muggy despite the storm!
  7. Lightning Maps showing multiple direct hits over you dude, hope you got to enjoy some lightshow!
  8. Wow the sky went really dark, but the electricness of the storm took a break directly overhead, and started back up on the way to Leek, still enjoying lightening and boomering thunder, hearing multiple distant +ve CG shotgun thunder! It's a banger for sure!!
  9. Back home in Stoke, just wondering to ask if everyone seems to think it'll be a bust tomorrow due to the quickness of the cold front from what you guys have been saying?
  10. Here's a better picture of the monster that is still rumbling like mad into the Irish sea..
  11. This is just the tail end of the storm as it moves further into the sea, I'm bit sad I couldn't find my umbrella to go out and take more video earlier! VID_20230618_171829.mp4
  12. You're not going to like the fact I am still, and have for the last half hour currently enjoying an amazing light show of beautiful arcing forked lightning and gunshot positive cg thunder! Best storm I've seen in a few years here on the Llandulas coast!
  13. Whoops apologies, didn't see you responded as I ended up just passing out on the caravan sofa, yeah, will be here for a week, so I'll probably mention any activity up in this area of N. Wales near Llandulas/Abergele for this time. Back in Stoke from next Saturday evening.
  14. On Holiday in Llandulas, was outside the caravan and just got surprised by a big flash followed by rumble of thunder, now heavens have opened, am spotting some distant flashes to the west also.
  15. AAh! I'm surrounded by storms in all directions, and i'm sat quietly in the middle of them for now, in North Stoke!
  16. Lots of rumblings coming from your direction, that cloud shown previously definitely backbuilt into a rumbler. Agreed not seen any lightning as of yet typing this.
  17. Yeah i thought i heard something in the distance sitting out here, is it from this?
  18. I hope you get some activity today, it's staggering the amount of times I had some stormy activity these past few years, yet yourself not seeing any, considering Congleton is not that far from me!
  19. Here up in Stoke, had enough to get the sun dip behind the clouds, definetly some activity occuring.
  20. Weatherwise from my spot its been an interesting day, been sitting right bang on the edge of dark angry skies for HOURS from NE to SE of my position, and other than a light shower i caught the edge of, i've had sunny weather, but watching these stormy skies that have formed yet appear to "not move". Don't think I can recall this happening before, I'm just like the other guy who posted his position right at the edge of being in thunderstorm warning area, but not in it. Edit: Just realised the storms may actually be moving back in a more NW direction, after being pretty much stationary for most of the day.
  21. I'm noticing a lot of cell development, but not much in terms of movement, which seems interesting.
  22. Angry skies just to my North / North east, seems like these exploded right above my position!
