  1. As if it's not chilly enough, I'm off to Murrayfield to watch a women's ice hockey match. At the best of times, Murrayfield is the coldest rink I've been to.
  2. Very little rain in Edinburgh. Took a wee walk down to Granton Harbour.
  3. About 10 minutes ago, had the oddest gust of wind in Edinburgh. Only lasted a few seconds, but totally rattled the double glazing and blew some stuff off the wall in a room with an open window.
  4. Not quite as warm as today, with possibility of rain/thunder storm in the afternoon
  5. Yep the thunder just drowned out the sound of the Proclaimers playing on Leith Links
  6. So the temp is due to rise to 10c by lunchtime tomorrow? and then stay there past midnight? and then drop to 0c by about 3pm Monday? With an f tonne of rain/snow for the start of the week?
  7. It's like a snow inversion around the Forth. On my usual dog walk by the water, saw that Inchkeith, in the middle of the Forth, was covered in snow.
  8. And suddenly in North (in the yellow warning for once) Edinburgh, it's getting cloudy
  9. You may need to leave extra time for getting to Edinburgh by road. Not weather related, but there's temporary traffic lights on A90, Queensferry Road, which got stuck on red.
  10. Breezy in Edinburgh. Got woken up at about 04:30, combination of the wind and the dog whining because of the wind.
  11. 2013 was a non event, Edinburgh way. About 1cm snow. Just checked my photos.
  12. 3c and raining in not Currie Edinburgh . I once drove to Currie to find snow and some frozen ice to skate on, the first winter of the pandemic. ( Field opposite the train station, got some odd looks from dog walkers )Was like Narnia compared to the slush at my house.
  13. Light snow falling and settling in North Edinburgh, right next to the Forth Surely Pittenweem has snow too.
  14. Horrible rain and wind from squall lines, all afternoon, in Edinburgh. Husband trying to get home from Manchester, by train. Doesn't know if he'll get past Carlisle, due to flooding. If he does the train will be at least 4 hours late.
  15. Snow turned back to rain now, in my bit of Edinburgh right by the Forth.
  16. Alex Deakin' s MO video forecast yesterday, said there was potential in some areas to get freezing rain, on Saturday. More likely in NW England.
