  1. No complaints from me so far regarding the 6z..high pressure looks to be the controlling factor mid next week onwards... I would say low to mid 20s at this stage for temperatures... Not everyone likes intense heat so this should come as a pleasent addition.
  2. Don't tell me we are going back to the negativity we had throughout most of June again.. ECM mean looks just peachy. And what's all this 1 day wonder in the SE! I'm seeing cloud clearing to sunny sky's from Thursday through to Saturday... With temps responding... 24-30c being achieved in quite a few places where cloud clears. If that's a bad forecast I must be posting in the 2108 summer thread..
  3. All the models agree that a lovely spell of weather is looming, high pressure really running the show right out to day 10 and beyond... Temperatures also beginning to respond. Looking at +12 uppers and beyond bringing temps under sunny conditions towards mid to high 20s I would have though..... Don't ya just love it when a plan comes together.
  4. Lol... Its possible though.. Those temps to the south maybe a little extreme, where as ours may be a little under cooked! 30-32 is surely a good shout for favoured spots!! And that would be pretty good for June. Ps.. Completely agree with mattys post above.
  5. Everything always looks better at night Karl... I'm still thinking a couple more twists to come.
  6. Interesting icon.... We can see an area of uppers producing 28c on the 2m temps... I would have thought we could easily add several degrees to these figures.
  7. Here's the ens graphs folks... Pressure looks pretty steady, and the mean after dipping springs back to life... Funny I said last night, just watch the mean increase as the pressure goes up. Not that I expect brownie points for it.... We all new that.... Either way it looks good.
  8. I'm not gonna give a boom for the plume... But I'm certainly gonna give one for the ECM mean.... Highpressuretastic... New word also sure signs of another warm up in the latter stages... One to watch..... You beauty ECM...
  9. Good start..... Even better ending, has NWS just pointed out... Yeh Boyyyyyyyyyyy
  10. Let's just agree that it's gonna warm up and in places it will feel like summer even... And now we look to the future.... The future is bright... The future is ECM... its also orange... High pressure I tell ya.....
  11. I have news for you this evening.... The good news is the Spanish plume is well on the way. The bad news is.... The temperatures are being left behind in Spain.....
  12. Its merely discussing the models though! To have such high uppers with such low surface temps was always going to be a major talking point!! This is something that rarely happens so I would imagine it would serve to act as a good learning curve for future events...
  13. Yes well that's one way of looking at it... You could also say that we had clear blue sky's allowing the temperatures to sky rocket. Even back then cloud on the East Coast was suppressing temps to mid teens on the coast... This is a similar set up... If we can get cloud clearance from the word go temps will fly up!
  14. I think perhaps he is making reference to a lack of storm activity. Can't complain here.. Plenty of flash and bangs, and a real deluge. Storms are very hit and miss. So i can't really see what there is to complain about.
  15. Bizzare set up.... Look at this chart from 95..june 30th...temos of 33.8c were recored with uppers of around 15c..its the other way round this time...
  16. To plume or not to plume..... One thing that is gathering momentum, is the increase in heights next week.... So perhaps that should take the sting out of us feeling miserable over the non responsive temperatures... Things looking decidedly summary moving forward.
  17. Yep, I'm feeling confident we can still add a few degrees to those temperatures.... Icon finishing not to bad.... Can I see the Azores ridge coming into play....
  18. Icon plume alert latest... +24c uppers with maximum highs of 24c.....are you having a laugh....
  19. That's a positive mean Karl. The ensembles showing a major decrease in rainfall as well. This fits in well with high pressure building.
  20. Guys this situation is far from a done deal, we just can't have any certainty on cloud cover amounts at this stage... Even the met apps are shooting themselves in the foot... 19c predicted for Thursday... But the detailed summary says becoming very warm in sunny spells! Which implies 25+.For sure East coastal areas are going to struggle... Further inland, and towards the West.... Surely to god low 30s! A few more twists in this forever rolling saga just yet! Ecm also still building heights in next week to boot, so it's looking pleasently good... Perhaps early June now becoming a distant memory.
  21. Mike do you see any signs of this high pressure devoloping to the North and East of us, allowing for weather systems to start effecting the SW, while the drier conditions get shunted North.... I can't see any signs of this at present, but exeter seem to think it's a possibility.
  22. GFS and FV3 at 96hrs....gerrin sick of saying this now... Plume is on... Temperatures to be decided closer to the time...
