  1. Southern Storm Always find the alerts are way too slow here for seeing any kind of aurora - I've always got starvisor.ru open on another tab and briefly glance at it every so often on a night where -Bz is pretty sustained (<-10 generally). Gives a good idea of when the oval is building and about to burst, etc and enables me to dash to a window or outside to try and nab some rays if I see them pop up!
  2. Flash bang flash bang etc Got to inspect the blurb thoroughly
  3. Aurora timelapse from 22:41 - 23:49 BST last night 1_1.mp4
  4. Aurora yesterday Very faint but there at 22:30 BST - had noticed some rays on Russian cams so snapped a shot to check 22:50 BST - could faintly see the red glow on the horizon from the garden although this faded pretty quickly but was visible on camera for a fair amount of time 23:35 BST - random burst that I didn't notice until looking at the camera after
  5. Sprites I know @Eagle Eye wasn't best pleased when he had cloud overhead whilst I had the aurora. I'm sure the next G4 storm will be full cloud cover here anyway so not to worry! Anyway back on topic, the rain is definitely coming and ever hoping for something convective Southern Storm We will have to see how it goes, always up for something
  6. Thunders I'm a bit confused too as I thought the rain bands currently wouldn't have anything thundery to them at all. Perhaps they're anticipating a bit more of a clearance than originally thought?
  7. Thunderstorm warning in the SE is probably the place I'd least expect it today
  8. Southern Storm I wish I was a connoisseur but yeah I did buy the Zoom H1n for thunderstorms although it's designed to being a desktop microphone for 99% of the year. There's definitely some settings I need to change as it still sounds a bit quieter than it could be but that's just me winging it without reading any instructions! I'd definitely recommend it though as I love me some crisp audio
  9. Southern Storm Incredible, love the audio especially around 04:35
  10. Flash bang flash bang etc You're pretty much spot on, was looking SW-W towards Canterbury where the cell was. Managing to avoid nearly all the rain certainly helped a nice clear slot into the cells that went by to my north and south lol
  11. Storm video from the other day although the audio was the main goal
