Couldn't see any lightning but that cell was fairly active, first decent rumblings of the year! -

damianslaw It's quite frustrating, we have large flakes falling but it's all turning to slush on the ground

We have a whiteout now with pea sized hail

Alot of the roads round here had a fair bit of standing water from the drains being blocked from the rain yesterday and nothing being done to clean up the Autumn leaves on the ground, shame the wind & rain has forced away the cold for now

Just been out on my run, no snow but lethal pavements iced over, had to run on the roads most of the way

Was surprised we had some rain a few hours back, it wasn't much but enough to wet the pavements which is now turning to ice

I had forgotten what a sunny day looks like given the last month has been wall to wall rain

A shame the Red Arrows were cancelled because of rain in Blackpool because the weather has been lovely here at the air show itself

Last few days with the sun were lovely, today is horrible, hot and humid with cloud cover

Unfortunately not frequent enough for window watching, a flash about every 3 to 4 minutes, looks like it's over Ainsdale/Formby area

Yet another wet day, I can remember some wet summer weeks in the 90's but nothing as prolonged as we've had this year

Although the cloud has come in now and temperature dropped a fair bit, it was nice while it lasted
