  1. I think you can have all the synoptic eye candy you like, but fundamentally if there is no cold air around, it ain't going to get cold. Charts at the moment are classic example of this.
  2. mulzy I expect the large lady has been on stage, warbled away and already departed. Charts show no sign of cold in the foreseeable, and will likely not going forward, I feel this winter is showing a fundamental shift in our weather patterns. One which the models and programmers are going to have to get to grips with.
  3. Lights dipped and our EPS kicked in for a few seconds.
  4. Interestingly the Meto Deep dive was emphasising the chances of high pressure for the week following next. Showed a chart for that week with a high bang over us.
  5. Hmm, I believe I said on Friday to look east toward the end of Jan and Feb, the stratospheric PV split today with a wind reversal also, with the strat and trop closely linked this winter I suspect any influence will be fairly quick.
  6. I think by the end of the weekend we shall start to see some interesting charts toward the back end of the models. I have always thought late January into February an to look east rather than north
  7. Probably because they don't hang on every deterministic run
  8. John doesn't do ramps. He has a subtle increase in possibility
  9. And what you are writing now is before tomorrow's 0z runs. I suspect they have a little more knowledge than we do
  10. And a long way to go to get there. Seriously it is a 360 mean
