    Gizzy if I remember last year was quite chilly right up until the end of May, looks like we are getting something similar, no sign of anything changing either during the next week or so.

    Thought I'd give my rating for winter, I know March can deliver but I can't see it this year. It's a shocking 2 out of 10 I would even go as far as saying we have not even had a winter, every year it just feels like a extended autumn and then into spring.

    Absolutely, I've definitely seen more snow showers around Easter than I have Christmas!! I'm just sick of seen dark dingy rainy days now, it's seems to have been like this for months now, if we can't have snow some nice cold frosty mornings will do. They reckon that the end of January will be a blocked pattern so time will tell but its only ever 10 days or more away

    Unless we get we get a lovely beast from the east again ( which is very rare ), I can't see us getting much again this winter ( at least in Teesside that is ) I know we can see snow in march but once January and first half of February have passed its very unlikely we will see severe snowy weather, I hope I'm wrong but that's just the climate we are in now.

    I'm pretty sure something big is on the way in terms of cold for our region and the UK in general, could someone tell me if a big freeze sometimes follows flooding events, I seem to remember past big freezes occurred after a long spell of wet and stormy weather where flooding occurred?

    Not a bad 10 minute storm, some nice lightning and a few rumbles of thunder, nice surprise I wasn't expecting any today

    We have had heavy rain for the past 30 minutes, its easing off now, I can hear the odd rumble in the distance, it looks like darlo is going to be in for a decent storm judging by that line of thunderstorms making its way up, looks like we maybe to close to the coast for anything decent.

    I'm now declaring Middlesbrough and Teesside in general one of the most boring places to live for weather events in the UK. I can't believe we have not had a decent thunderstorm, it's bad enough missing out in the winter. I can put up with the humidity if there's a breakdown with a storm but nope not to be. Sorry for the rant.
