If this would have stuck from 7am this morning then the local Blackrod, Horwich and Bolton area would have been looking at 15cm+ even as I type massive flakes coming down here in blackrod.

think you are correct. Big white house on the corner of the street at the top.

yep the entrance to padfield primary school was horrendous. Down a narrow street and an even narrow entrance into the school. Think I clipped a couple of wing mirrors on a few occasions

Oh yes ! The biggest pain was the roadworks !!
used to service the swimming pool too

I used to service the primary school in padfield. And then next job was hadfield library.

That is what exactly happens in my area.
as I stated before, from a Easterly I will get showers but far lighter than Oldham, Etc.- 7

yes, I remember you getting the day off.
I had to go in work but the transport manager put a stop to any deliveries

Only South Easterlies for me. Easterlies do deliver for me but not as much as you Two.
as for South Westerlies, when a front is coming up against embedded cold, not a issue, fortunately this area does not get the shield like Manchester

I don’t think so.. maybe Winter Hill and surrounding Hills would take some humph out of any showers coming from the East.
the same happens here in a direct North Westerly, the showers seem to break up.
another mystery.- 6

The Manchester shield is very odd.
think it’s to do with wind direction and the Welsh mountains. I’ve seen it lash down here and looking South-East towards Manchester, you can very clearly see it looking Brighter in that direction. You can see the clouds don’t look as grey and heavy..Odd.

November 2021 and March 2023 were really decent snow events with severe drifting snow 20ft drifts in the area, to have those two events in these mild times in close succession is very good achievement.
I was not having a dig, Kasim.
just saying having great elevation does not always give you top spot.. this week winner on Tuesday was Preston.- 5

I'd give this cold spell 2/10 for my location.
Sorry, Kasim
having 350M+ does not guarantee you gold medal every snow event. By the looks of things, you did not get anywhere near Bronze medal in this cold spell.
that’s life !- 6

Morning all.
going off the radar a few beefy showers passed through my part of the region from about 3:30 am. Roads are completely covered again.- 7

Decent snow shower here. Everything covered again.. probably the last one until the next cold snap we have

I want a bit more snow, I hope to be home before it starts though. Lots of waiting round today and various tests prior to radiotherapy treatment, looks like I'll be a little while yet. The radar is my window.
Hope all goes well
