  1. Big storm in Walberswick Suffolk again. Plenty of lightning and thunder.
  2. Thunderstorm in Walberswick on the Suffolk coast 20 minutes ago. Torrential rain for 15 mins
  3. Not surprised Thunderstorm arrived. The sky in Stowmarket was very juicy looking earlier!
  4. Thunder reported by my contact in Stowmarket just now, cell to the south west moving north eastwards
  5. Certainly some thundery skies around at daybreak in Stowmarket
  6. Some beefy cells in Mid Suffolk according to the radar. Raining in Brentwood, Essex currently
  7. Spent the day in Caithness, thick fog hugged the coastline from Dunbeath to JOG. Cleared to overcast in Thurso but fog all the way back to Dunbeath this evening and 8c.
  8. Very heavy snow here in Stowmarket readily settling but will no doubt thaw once it stops. Good to see a winter Wonderland in Spring
  9. So continuing into London and a rapid thaw of the coating in Chelmsford but a decent 2 to 3 cms in Ingatestone and Brentwood and by far the best covering seen on my way to London
  10. On my way in by train from Stowmarket to London. Light snow from Stowmarket to Ipswich, cold rain in Manningtree, light snow between Manningtree and Colchester, rain at Colchester. Very marginal conditions atm
  11. Heavy snow shower just now in Stow rapidly covering previously thawed patches.
  12. Noticeable thaw now in Stow for the last couple of hours. All of that will freeze of course in the next couple of hours so some tricky conditions later.
  13. Snowing heavily in Stow more convective flakes this time unlike the long duration powder from yesterday and earlier today.
  14. About 7 to 8cm have fallen in Stow from 0700. Still snow blowing around now. Took this earlier
  15. Not surprised. Wish him well in these conditions. The biting wind and drifting is a problem
  16. Raging North Easterly and snow on the ground here in mid Suffolk near Stowmarket. Wasn't anything at 6am
  17. Yes lived in Canterbury in the early 90s and the snowfall of Feb 1991 was exceptional. It settled quite quickly once it got going! Looking like East Kent up for some more decent snowfall from this favoured set up
  18. It's quite possible these snowy scenes from 2nd Feb 2009 could be repeated in London again this weekend? Certainly looking snowy for Suffolk!
  19. Flash in the pan cell here in south Essex but certainly interesting photographically!
