    Blazing sunshine here in Newcastle but just a few miles west they're stuck under crud What a difference just a few miles makes. Just shows how localised showers can be when they develop.

    Up to 28.4C in the shade in my garden on the coast of SE Northumberland. Feels horrific. Very cloudy too!

    My station in back garden has just risen by 3C in a matter of 10-15 minutes or so. Still rising now. It is unbearably sticky for me now. It has been around 23 all day but has suddenly risen. Now showing 27.1C at 4:33 27.7 at 4:37 Stable 27.9 now

    Had this one rumbling away on my way to the gym. I've had thunder from 6 cells today. Been a good few weeks... Supercell on 25th July and numerous days since with rather active lightning storms!

    It's going to bug me for weeks now that we didn't stop longer to film here (in HD too), we're both adamant we saw rotation close to the ground.
