What gets my goat is we had frequent showers all day then when it got dark and showers would settle there is naff all about

Very true...apparently we have heavy snow here atm but in reality its as clear as it gets lol

To be fair mate it was late afternoon until tomorrow now its night...we will see but the large totals you envisaged are disappearing at a rate of knots, take my hat off to you sticking your neck on the line though

Tbh this is like pulling teeth. I would call the majority of this a bust thus far unless ypu are up a hill under a streamer. Hope im wrong and things pick up later but atm 5cm for the majority seems optimistic let alone 15-20

People are saying the main action is meant to be later this afternoon so i was just asking what is it that will increase the showers later?

Yep the decaying system is killing convection, hopefully things will improve later giving people a chance of some beefy showers!

A nice little dusting here. Hoping the wash streamer picks up in intensity like further north soon
