  1. The prospect of a UK heatwave brings along excitement for me because I see high temperatures as a contributory ingredient towards a noteworthy thunderstorm. Now, given that many additional ingredients are required to aid thunderstorm development, what is the coolest day you've seen a severe thunderstorm crop up in? And no, thundersnow don't count unless it had severe elements.
  2. I have the whole day free today as well. I just need a sign! But not even the cloud has gone. I keep looking at east Anglia but I think I'm just seeing what I want to see
  3. Hey Colin. You can upload multiple images inside your post here without using a third party. Videos, on the other hand, will need to go to somewhere else first such YouTube, vimeo etc. Unless you can somehow get a video under 10MB
  4. Much thanks for that second bit. I'll get some zeds in methinks!
  5. Is it worth intercepting this essex stuff? Contemplating the M25 from south London
  6. Well. The freshness is in the air and there has been a noticeable drop in temperature. Despite what the apps say, I think we are done for the foreseeable. Certainly, anything of this week's magnitude is a 2021+ job. Thanks to questionable planning on my part, I witnessed nothing. But on a lighter note...erm.
  7. I know. After two attempts to chase that both got aborted around west London I feel that opportunities are starting to slip away. I'm up for some motorway miles but Wales and Birmingham will test my family's patience!
  8. Maybe that's why Scotland got the amber warning and shrop/stafford/che-shire got yellowed. Seems like the Edinburgh system is not done yet either
  9. When I saw the storms straddling Blackpool I was hoping for a Nodrog video!
  10. 0-this in 30 minutes: Flash Bang etc made the right call heading out. I made the wrong call staying in. But I'm holding out for the next few days for something a bit closer
  11. By my reckoning, the forecasted 32° area runs up to about Banbury at 4pm: Temperature maps for United Kingdom - forecast.co.uk M.FORECAST.CO.UK Interactive map with changes in temperature in United Kingdom. Predictions for today and the coming days. Chiltern hills might create a little lift
  12. I think your mother needs a socially-distanced visit from you...
  13. So tomorrow (almost) = elevated clag for the AM in Wales and kaboom for the PM in Midlands / NW. Any rough ideas for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday? Should a person of the Southeast stay put and be patient?
  14. My two weeks' annual leave began today. I have a car. Wherever it is, however underwhelming, I will be under it.
  15. @matty40s Cracking pictures. You can clearly see how elevated it is. Like something from Arizona or wherever it is
  16. So despite not really being electrified, would this glub be classed as an MCS? And if so could it spawn its own MCV?
