  1. Another day in which the Met's and the BBC's forecasts of 'showers becoming more wintry with time' have come to nothing. Needles to say, I hold out no hope for tomorrow! Edit: currently a balmy 5.5C...
  2. Lucky you! It's -1C and completely clear here. Another miss, methinks. Hope you see something, though.
  3. But, by the same token, some parts of the 'SE' are almost in Central Southern England?
  4. The same BBC who (only at lunchtime!) said that Thursday could see a fair amount of snow - in Eastern/Southeastern England?
  5. And, as the BBC were predicting last Saturday and Sunday to be the 'peak of the current cold spell', I am also somewhat sceptical - to say the least.
  6. That's my main concern, too. I hope I'm being unnecessarily pessimistic, but similar pressure set-ups in 2013 only produced days of raw, cold with a few snow grains in the wind...The North Sea is a tad warmer this year, however. Hope springs eternal!
  7. Good luck indeed, suffolkboy. I think we might well need it...
  8. I'm not so sure, Eugene: if we don't get the risk of brief mild incursion, we're less likely to get any following Arctic blast??
  9. I do hope that we don't get another load of rain like yesterday!
  10. According to the Mirror, it could stay cold until next month. Tomorrow methinks.
  11. But we need to see some properly entrenched cold air over mainland Europe, first. Last time I looked it was hardly even below freezing... PS: things can change.
  12. Here in North Suffolk, it's no more than sleety rain... I think there must be. At least that's what I'm assuming.
  13. Had a sleet shower earlier. Plenty more 'stuff' around.
