Kirkstone pass was always my go to place for a snow fix. An hour and a bit and almost guaranteed snow

You say that all the time! Your inCumbria!!! Every time it’s meant to snow I always get in the car and head up your way and never have a problem finding snow . I can’t this time as I live in Spain now but you really are quite lucky to have it on your doorstep

You live in the Lake District you should count yourself lucky! You can never be too far away from snow! A short drive and you’d see plenty! I used to travel from Liverpool when it snowed to see some decent stuff. Kirkstone pass etc.

I can see the fells and mountains of the Lake District doing seriously well for snow over the next week or so.

Great to see snow falling today. Anyone expecting anything major and staying up don’t do it to yourselves ? it’s cold and there will be the odd shower but get some sleep

Had some really heavy stuff before and it was starting to stick .. soon as it stops it melts very quickly!!! Good signs though, it’s not meant to get started until 2pm ish I believe

Heavier snow now in aigburth Liverpool. Very fine but very heavy. Isn’t sticking. This bodes really well for later on! Great to see it falling as I’ve not seen snow for ages. Been living in Spain. Planned my trip superbly ? very heavy now!!!! Starting to stick

back to weather though and why are the BBC regional weather forecasts so bland and uninspiring.
is it the graphics, is it the presenter or is it just the fact that they aren’t convinced that anything remotely interesting is going to happen.
personally i’m not bothered about any more snow this season but after missing the worst of it last time around I think that i’m going to get a bit of a dumping this weekend.
It could well be that it’s just going to be cold which is what they point to. They could be wrong they might not be! But they’re not going to stick little snow graphics in to please us lot.

Just popped out for some beers and kebab. Certainly getting colder out there. I’ve only been back from Spain a week and thought it was already cold. But leaving the pub this evening it was bitter

I’m from Liverpool but have been based in Spain since the start of the year. I used to spend a lot of my holidays in Scotland , I love the place and the people. I’m really enjoying seeing these pictures and amazing snowfall your all getting. Continue with the videos and pictures they’re making me smile after feeling a bit home sick. Your a good bunch on here. Wish I was up there now and not in this boring 20 degree heat. Hope you all enjoy the snow and obviously all stay safe out there!!! Keep this great thread going!!!
